“Great place to enjoy all you can eat sushi and all the sides!”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

Adrian welcomes you warmly and makes you feel like family. My boyfriend and I come almost every Thursday and there are so many great things to order on the all you can eat menu which for $23 is an amazing deal!!! Especially when you bring a teenage boy with a never-ending appetite. Soup, salad, ice cream and tea are also included. We always order the shumai, seaweed salad, and the delicious house steak which is served sizzling hot with a sweet tasting sauce. The rock shrimp has a great kick and the sushi and sashimi are all fresh and the menu offers some great choices. The waitresses are very nice and remember what you like.

“The good, bad and the raw!”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Our first time at Era, ordered the AYCE which comes with soda and tea. Miso soup, house salad, kani salad, rock shrimp, taro fries, shumai, gyoza – all delicious. Sushi (Yummy, Mango Mania, Salmon Avocado) fresh and tasty. Duck spring roll and shrimp tempura were greasy. Lobster crepe (lobster salad on wonton wrapper) was innovative, but not spectacular. Hot dishes: house steak was dry and chewy, chicken with cashews was a bit heavy as was the beef with black beans. White rice was not served with the kitchen dishes, and garners an extra charge, which we think should be included in the $24 pp charge. Part of the chicken satay was eaten and found to be raw. Server was concerned and notified the manager. Although the manager was a nice person and apologized (and also notified the chef), he made quite light of it. We would have appreciated a reduction in our bill, especially with it being our first visit, over the offered two small glasses of beer (which we do not typically drink). We do not think we will return.

“An easy going, welcoming and good food place.”
Reviewed April 25, 2012

Era (formerly Hinata), has survived a year without a liqueur license. For any restaurant to pull that off, you need a loyal following which this place has. The atmosphere is easy going, the choices are plenty and the all-you-can-eat menu is an amazing deal.
