First time staying at a KOA campsite, it is well worth the extra cost. The campsite, itself, was pristine; the bathrooms were spotless. The staff was friendly. We stayed in a rustic cabin and it was perfect. It was also a nice jumping off point to travel around the region. There is a large grocery store about a mile down the road so you don't have to worry about supplies and such. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at KOA due to the proximity of the U.S. side falls. It took a while to check in, even camping in a tent. The tent sites are in the back along the fence and there is a theme park on the other side of that fence. This campsite is not private at all you can see everyone and everything. We checked in around 2PM and while we were setting up we were greeted every 15 mins with a train of tourists on the other side of fence. We didn't mind since we were leaving to see the falls once we were set up. After a WONDERFUL evening at the falls we arrived back at our campsite astonished at how quite and dark it was. If we would have set up camp in the dark we wouldn't have even known that there was a theme park on the other side. We were up early around 8AM and gone by 8:30 and there still wasn't any sign of life from the theme park. So while it seems that it would be horrible it wasn't, the campsite served our purpose.

At this KOA, we had a lovely, small, grassy, open (read: no privacy) campsite in close proximity to the bathroom and pool (which was closed).

The campground was clean, well-kept, and not crowded (we stayed on a Tuesday in late September). The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Grand Island is very convenient to driving down to see Niagara Falls itself.

However, this campground is located next to a major highway. I mean RIGHT next to the highway. Despite how clean the site was, and how quiet our camping neighbors were, the noise of the highway kept me up ALL NIGHT.

This may be okay for those staying in RVs... but if you prefer tent-camping, DO NOT STAY HERE... unless you pack earplugs. Sheesh!

Room Tip: May be a good place for RV campers. If you are a tent-camper, bring ear plugs! Very noisy next to...

We stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe cabin. We were very impressed. There were clean linens, a stocked kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave and 2 burner stovetop. There was more than enough flatware, glasses and dishes for a large group. The cabin was immaculate when we entered. Outside, there is a gas grill, fire pit and table for six. We did not expect anything nearly this nice. The water pressure was excellent in the shower. We had looked into a suite style hotel for travel with our young daughter that goes to sleep early, so we could be in a separate room after she went to sleep. The KOA was at least 50 dollars less per night and just as nice, as far as we are concerned. My only complaint would be how close together the cabins and RV spaces are. I do appreciate that the cabins are arranged so that you can use your grill/table/fire pit without being on top of your neighbor. The next cabin's out door items are on the opposite side. Wifi is temperamental, to say the least, but it does work. From what we've seen, we would not stay in a tent site here. They are close together and don't really afford any privacy. Overall, we had a great stay, and would stay in a cabin again.

This KOA campground is one of the BEST!!!! My family and friends were treated like royalty. If you are a true RV’r then this is the place to visit Niagara Falls. It is certainly affordable…I love the gas grill…and the outdoor table set….the concrete patio saved us a lot of cleaning…10 to 15 minutes to Niagara State Park and Canada … The general store was very accommodating and it stocks daily needs. There are many stores nearby, Walgreen, Grocery Store, Restaurants (all within 5 minutes) Location, location, location WOW!!...But that is not the best it offers….The staff is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It wsas a very nice abd comfortable experience…Thank you!

Room Tip: Closer to the office the better...

I guess we got spoiled because we always went to the koa in Erie pa. we decided to go to Niagara Falls and stay at the KOA on Grand Island for our anniversary when we got there they couldn't find the key then they gave us the key when we got to the cabin it was dirty the trash can with full. the fire alarm was off the wall. and the light on the ceiling with hanging by a wire. so before we moved in I swept the floor and wipe down everything. the showers did not get cleaned the full two days that we were there the water pressure was bad ! my husband gets up at 4 o'clock in the morning there was no hot water for showers anywhere in the campground the showers were at least a mile from our cabin. there was a sewer drain right in front of our cabin. and a little girl at the front desk did not know anything about the attractions at the park. we will not go back to this koa again. also whenever we came back to the KOA we had to pay $1 for the bridge. so that added at least $10 to attract they should really give you a pass since you are staying at the campsite. Also there's nothing on the island the restaurants were very bad But the pizzas at Johns Pizza was pretty good So there it is that's my review for Koa in Grand Island New York

We stayed at this KOA for one night in cabin #729. We could see and hear the Fantasy Island roller coaster through the trees. It quiets down after 10:00 p.m. when the them park closes. Our cabin was quite a distance from the showers and washrooms. Really irritating if you have to go badly! The cabins by the pond were out in the open and had no shade so if it was hot then you were really hot! Lots of people traffic going by our cabin as we were situated on the way to the restrooms, showers and heated swimming pool. The staff were friendly and nice. The cabins didnt offer too much privacy because if you were siting out you could see the people on the sites in front of you as well as the cabin beside you', the foot traffic to sites located above the footbridge just in front of 729.. It is a great place to stay if you have kids and you are visiting Fantasy Island. If you are a couple and are looking for a KOA in Niagara Falls New York then I would recommend the KOA Niagara Falls North as it is quieter, less busy and the sites afford some privacy. We have stayed there many times and the only reason we stayed on Grand Island was because the the other one was unavailable.

Room Tip: Don't stay by the pond because there is no shade.
