Called up last min and had a table available, place was busy by 9:30pm and created a great environment.
Starters were great, we tried their famous lamb chops that everyone goes on about and was not expecting them to be that delicious.
Mains was even better, throw in a couple beers and the ultimate curry night out.
Service was really good, staff are a good crack, very jolly staff and overall at a good price. Would definitely come back and recommend this to all.

We live in staines and the Saffron is one of several places we eat. Our first meal there 3 years ago was lovely but the place was empty. Our second meal was so so and again the place was empty. Most recently in August 2013 when dining there we had to have the smelly plates and glasses replaced before eating. And the place was empty.
We won't be hurrying back.
Jimmy Spices directly across the river is full to bursting most times we are there. There is something for the Saffron team to learn from the Jimmy Spices business model.

This reviewer eats in "Indian" restaurants throughout the UK and this is without doubt one of the best and can hold it's own with the best of the niche players in this market place, including those in not-far-away Southall. Don't miss the chops- fantastic! Staff are efficient and pleasant and the Boss clearly knows his tribe - on the night we visited this mainly comprised large parties, for which this venue is ideal. However, not all men appreciate being called "Buddy" repeatedly, particularly those young enough to be their grandchildren, however affable and well presented, and not all diners (especially couples) will enjoy the wall-to-wall MTV which was rather intrusive on occasions. Minor whinges, and probably generational, but this reviewer knows at least one patron (mid 20's) who will need to be persuaded to go again because of these. Don't let that put you off. Food service and value are first class.

We rolled into the Saffron lounge at 11:10pm on Saturday night having just come off the train and were in the mood for a Curry. The website said the place was open to midnight but when we arrived we were told the kitchen closes at 11pm, however they would ask the chef and we were shortly invited to sit down to eat and take our time.

The menu is limited but if they do all the food as good as we had then it's not a problem. I had the Lamb madras which was excellent and my wife the Chicken methi, which although a bit hotter than "mild" as she told, it did not disappoint at all. Garlic nann and pilau rice we as standard but the little food we had was great.

Didn't have any cocktails or wine so can't comment to the experience of the other reviews. But the decoration is interesting (purple haze neon, canteen-esque echo-y feel but with a splash of restaurant furnishing), and the many TV's playing music channels made us think it would be a fun place to come and watch football with a curry & beers with friends, so we'll definitely be back!

We felt nicely welcomed despite being 'after hours' and were pleased with the service and staff.

We had a night out with friends and Saffron Lounge was highly recommended to visit. Probably I had high expectation but I was very disappointed (so were my friend). Starting with the waiter calling me "buddy" constantly and then unclear stories about cost of drinks (in menu $3.25, we were told it's cost actually $4.25 but in last bill it was £5. Food was very average - we all ordered different dishes and tried from each other. Nothing was really "wow" or even caused the wish to try a second piece. Portions are big but it doesn't help.
The menu is enormous so probably the better way is to make it smaller but focus on "showstopers".
P.S. Get rid of TV, it creates the cacophony.
