An excellent camp, well organized. Every time I guide for Bushlife it is a pleasure and clients are always with satisfied with a unique experience. Game driving, walking a big part of the experience, canoeing, birding etc
Good facilities, safe and very comfortable accommodation in a pristine part of Mana Pools

If you want a trip of a lifetime with experience’s that words just aren’t enough to describe then visit Mana Pools and stay with Bushlife Safaris at Vundu Camp. The intensity of the experiences was phenomenal and the team at the lodge are very knowledgeable and experienced. You become part of the family. Wild dogs and elephants were the main ‘attraction’ and boy did the Bushlife team over deliver. You see wildlife from trucks, on foot and in kayaks. The wildlife is fantastic and Mana Pools is a very beautiful place, even at the height of the dry season. The lodge is located next to the beautiful Zambezi river. I can’t recommend this place enough. It is not a cheap place to visit but you will not regret spending the money. You really do get up close to the wildlife and get to observe amazing behaviour. My trip feels like a dream as I could never have envisaged the wildlife experiences I had. The Vunu Bushlife Team really understand and care for the wildlife and this adds to an already very special place.

Room tip: All the room’s are great as they all look onto the Zambezi river.

The three day canoe trip was brilliant, seeing the landscape and wildlife from a completely different perspective, in a very relaxed way, with excellent guide Henry. The highlight of the stay at the main camp was being able to walk on game drives, including approaching Boswell, the huge male elephant that stands on two legs to access high branches, and the wild dogs too, again with Henry. The lodge itself is very pleasant, comfortable and informal, on the banks of the Zambesi.

Thank you so much for your review of your recent stay at Vundu Camp, and your Ruwesi Canoe Trail! Henry is a fantastic guide! Both on land and on the Zambezi River. He has many many years of experience. Walking in Mana Pools is a wonderful way to see wildlife from a new perspective, and especially for photography! We hope you will come visit again soon.

This was an amazing holiday and a great opportunity for us to discover many animals and learn interesting facts about them! The views were amazing and we also really enjoyed the safaris and the animals. The staff is amazing, and we'll definitely come back again another time :)

Room tip: Amazing rooms with functioning showers and hot water, toilets and small sitting room. Everything needed is there.

We visited Vundu principally for photography and our group was not disappointed - the sightings of stand-up elephants, dogs, buffalos, magical Mana Pool light, and Zambezi river views were fantastic. Mana Pools is a truly special place and we felt privileged to see it from Vundu. Nick Murray and his team offer the knowledge and experience that gave us unique access to the animals (the elephants and dogs in particular) and also some understanding of the challenges they face to protect and preserve this amazing place. It was a really humbling and special experience.

Room tip: Vundu is comfortable and relaxing, right on the Zambezi. But make sure to camp at Chitake Springs - the highlight !
