There are no signs to Camp Hwange, adding to its wild remoteness. We were assigned to room 6, and as we entered our cabin, the vista included elephants and kudos at the water hole.
The staff is attentive and caring. The commons area is relaxing and spacious; breakfast and drinks were enjoyed around the cozy fire pit. The food was plentiful and delicious. We requested vegan, and the chefs prepared culinary wonders.
Our guide, Adam, was an enthusiastic professional, He KNOWS Zimbabwe’s flora and fauna. Whether we were in a vehicle or on a walking safari, Adam brought us close to the action while always keeping us safe. From witnessing a pride of 12 lions eating an elephant to a serval catching a mouse to a cheetah stalking bush bucks, Adam had instincts that placed us at the right location at the right time. And if you want to see the big cats, Adam is the ultimate Lion Whisperer.
We loved every minute of our 4-days at Camp Hwange. We had so many rarefied experiences that were truly astonishing.More
