From the moment we were met at the Park entrance by Blade we knew it was going to be something special. Our drive to Camp Hwange was truly incredible seeing and hearing about so much wildlife.
The camp of just eight chalets is set around a water hole on a private concession which means it is off the beaten track for other visitors to Hwange so only a couple of vehicles to be seen.

We were greeted my Kim and Melissa and immediately made to feel so welcome, they were always on hand to help in anyway, we had some good fun with them!

Our thatched chalet was lovely, airy and clean, with a lovey stoep to sit and watch any wild life at the water hole, of which there was always something, buffalo, elephants and even a new cheetah in the area named by one guide as Ace!

Really excellent food is served in the dining, and very comfortable lounge, set in a large thatched communal area overlooking the water hole.

It was our Golden wedding anniversary while there and what a special day it turned out to be, watching two lionesses and four cubs and trailing and seeing an amazing Cheetah kill. And to end the day a special surprise dinner in the bush under the stars. What a day!

Our incredible guides, Julian, with his knowledge and passion must surely be the best guide in Zimbabwe, we will never forget him showing us the cheetah kill, and Blade, also with such knowledge and enthusiasm is undoubtedly a top guide as well. We cannot praise them enough for sharing their passion with us.
We stayed three days but wish so much it could have been longer, a truly wonderful experience which we will never forget.
Thank you all so much.

The people, the animals, the accommodations, the food...it was a dream vacation. Watch out for baboons that will grab your picnic! The parade of animals at the watering hole was something that Disney might have animated but this was real.

Camp Hwange was the highlight of our holiday. On arrival we were greeted by three elephants around the water hole located just out side the camp.

From then on we were treated with fantastic game viewing for the next 4 days. With excellent cat and elephant sightings and minimal vehicle traffic.

The best thing about this camp is the staff. The guides Alan, adam and washington went out of their way to help us see everything we wanted and Mellisa and all the staff back at camp made sure we were looked after and very well fed everyday. (Food was excellent).

Thanks all for such a memorable stay.

Absolutely fabulous camp. Awesome setting round the waterhole, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, nothing ever too much trouble. The guides truly set this operation apart as world class.

All the facilities are simple but brilliant, you cant beat sitting round the camp fire watching and listening to animals coming up to drink.

Camp Hwange is a very special camp deep in Hwange National Park. The setting is glorious in front of a waterhole. The staff are very attentive and we felt very spoilt. The food was delicious. Our guide, Julian, was extremely knowledgeable and we learnt so much. The combination of walking and drives really allows you to immerse yourself in the bush. We saw masses of wildlife including 40 different lions. We encountered leopard, hyena, jackal, followed a cheetah and tracked a male lion on foot. We loved every minute of it.
