From the moment we were met at the Park entrance by Blade we knew it was going to be something special. Our drive to Camp Hwange was truly incredible seeing and hearing about so much wildlife.
The camp of just eight chalets is set around a water hole on a private concession which means it is off the beaten track for other visitors to Hwange so only a couple of vehicles to be seen.
We were greeted my Kim and Melissa and immediately made to feel so welcome, they were always on hand to help in anyway, we had some good fun with them!
Our thatched chalet was lovely, airy and clean, with a lovey stoep to sit and watch any wild life at the water hole, of which there was always something, buffalo, elephants and even a new cheetah in the area named by one guide as Ace!
Really excellent food is served in the dining, and very comfortable lounge, set in a large thatched communal area overlooking the water hole.
It was our Golden wedding anniversary while there and what a special day it turned out to be, watching two lionesses and four cubs and trailing and seeing an amazing Cheetah kill. And to end the day a special surprise dinner in the bush under the stars. What a day!

Our incredible guides, Julian, with his knowledge and passion must surely be the best guide in Zimbabwe, we will never forget him showing us the cheetah kill, and Blade, also with such knowledge and enthusiasm is undoubtedly a top guide as well. We cannot praise them enough for sharing their passion with us.
We stayed three days but wish so much it could have been longer, a truly wonderful experience which we will never forget.
Thank you all so much.More
