Bomani is one of those places when you visit you feel like you are the star of a documentary. The lodging is just one part of the whole experience and one of the coolest. You stay in elevated luxury tents so the sounds of the African night are the white noes that sends you off to dreamland. The thing is when you awake your still in dreamland. Bomani is a lucid dream! The staff is great the site is amazing, the food is food network tasty and that is just the camp. The camp sets on the boarder of Hwange National Park and man what a park. When you leave camp in the back of a Land Cruise is when your documentary begins. Just as you leave the camp, I mean like 50 yards after you leave camp you are in the wilds of Africa and every kilometer you travel from there is National Geographic stuff. Elephants wonder everywhere, Wildebeast, Giraffe, Zebra, Hippo, Lion, Jackal, Buffalo, you name it they are all looking at you looking at them through your lens. Then there are the village trips and that too is a documentary level experience. I could write a book on my experience at Bomani, it was one of those life changers. But alas a book would take up too much space here so I'll let the photos speak for me.

Room Tip: Ask for coffee or tea to be delivered to your room prior to sunrise and welcome the African morning from your private deck.

Hey Brent, thanks for this great review. I can't tell you how much we all enjoyed showing you around our neck of the woods and appreciated the interest you showed in what we are trying to do. And of course, I'm thrilled you got the bug we all already had! Thanks again from all of us at Bomani and the Imvelo Safari Lodges team - see you again soon!

We arrived at the Bomani Tent Lodge to smiling faces and helpful hands. They grabbed our luggage and took it to our tent. A special thanks to Big Boy and Louve-Mon (something like that I called him Love Man!!). Big Boy and Love Man were fantastic and very helpful and friendly. They waited on us hand and foot the entire time.

The tents are very luxurious, and quite ingenious. They built a 4 foot platform for the tent to rest on. The restroom is built with Bali or Africa Thatch (straw hut looking stuff!) on the outside of the tent. The restrooms are very nice and clean and you have hot water for showers. They covered the tent and restroom with a canopy roof making it one giant tent! You can brag saying you "roughed it" in a tent on Safari, but really your tent was nicer than most apartments I have seen.

The Main Lodge area where you drink, eat, and relax is breathtaking! It is very nice and there are plenty of comfy seats everywhere to relax and unwind. There is a campfire directly outside the main area where you can sip on a cocktail and see more stars than you can imagine.

The food was terrific! They have a buffet style breakfast in the mornings which consists of cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, bacon, eggs, sausage, bread, and all kinds of fruit juices. Lunch was very special and delicious. They made a grilled chicken with amazing seasoning. I helped myself to fourths. Dinners were always fantastic as well. They offer a variety of wild game meats which are done perfectly.

The Bomani Tented Lodge sits on the outskirts of Hwange National Park. You drive for 3 minutes and you are in the park. My camera has hardly any zoom and I still got great pictures. It is amazing because you safely get to see wild African animals up close. We opted to have lunch at the Elephant Watering Hole. I strongly suggest doing that for lunch. You eat in the field while elephants, monkeys, zebras, and plenty more come to drink water.

If you are planning a Safari, this really is the best place to stay. Check out my pictures to see all the different animals you can see. Very Cool Specialty Lodging!
