Nehimba was everything of our dreams and more. We stayed here as a family of 10 and LOVED every single second of it. The staff is unmatched in their ability to attend to every little detail and make you feel as though you are a member of their family. The location is unmatched by any safari lodge in the area (Zimbabwe or Botswana), we constantly remarked at how much we felt that we were really living as one with the animals in their native habitat, and yet the expert guides never allowed us to feel unsafe or in danger. The accommodations, food, and service are superb--every meal was a delight and every little "surprise" (they love surprises at Nehimba) that Sarah and her staff created for us was a complete and utter delight. We all shed a few tears at the end of our stay and throughout the rest of our trip we constantly longed to rewind and return to Nehimba.

Going back to Zimbabwe was not an easy decision, a trip we had postponed for years due to the political situation. We were wrong, the people we met throughout our journey in different locations were all friendly and helpful. We never felt unsafe or uncomfortable.
Reasons we picked Nehimba:
- Location: only another camp in the area, thus not too many vehicles when going on game drives
- Camp with a sense of security and solidity due to the features of the bungalows: elevated on stilts with a wooden floor with part canvas part wooden walls, glass windows and glass sliding entrance door.
- Internet access available in common areas.
Personnel is very friendly, helpful at all times and knowledgeable: Sarah, Lyndon and Given and all the others are a real asset to the property.
They organized different special events for us, even a surprise birthday cake.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The Bungalow was spacious, airy, very comfortable with indoor vintage tub and an outdoor exotic shower. The bungalows are tastefully furnished with a very comfortable king bed, a writing desk with a view, in room safe, a gorgeous deck overlooking the pan, where elephants started coming every afternoon to stay till dark.
What a magnificent African experience to dine under the stars and sit by the fire with herds of elephants a few meters away.

Advice: stay at least 3 nights. To save travelling time, fly in and out of Hwange with a charter.
We flew with Giles Raynor of Altair and would recommend his services.
Our experience: just excellent.
Would definitely return and recommend it.

We had excellent service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The food was fantastic and the staff professional and friendly. The Lodge and Chalets are incorporated so well into their surroundings that you feel like you are "part" of Hwange Park. A herd of over 50 elephants captivated us at sunset, and the Lions roars in the early morning completed the African experience. Great Lodge, Great Staff, Great Setting. I will return.

I enjoyed this place so much I am making plans to return with my whole family. If you have the chance to visit dont pass it up!! The minute you enter the park and begin your drive to lodge the fun starts. The scenery is great and there are lots of animals to observe. This park and lodge will not disappoint you.

We have just had a wonderful 3 nights at Nehimba Lodge. A big thank-you to Martin and Candy Pieters, who, with their staff, really went the extra mile for us.
The lodge is beautifully set up, with sumptuous rooms to relax and sleep "like the dead" in - even with our small little baby!
Everyone was so good with our baby and we had great times going out game viewing or just relaxing.
Thank-you for a fabulous time.

The Lodge and chalets are most attractive in design and furnishings and provide most comfortable accommodation. The setting is appealing and service is excellent. Our party of four found no fault, were cared for outstandingly, and experienced a most enjoyable five day stay.

Our party of eight recently stayed at Nehimba Lodge for three nights and the experience was beyond our expectations. The owners, management and staff, each and every one, were simply wonderful. The lodge and grounds were beautiful. Well appointed, luxurious and very comfortable. It was truly an oasis. The game drives were so fun. Our guide, Tinie (I hope I spelled that correctly) was funny and knowledgeable. He explained everything to us, from different animal, bird and plant species - to the star constellations. Very educational. We were afforded fantastic animal viewing, and did a few walking safaris, which were both exhilarating and frightening! Above and beyond all of this, we were treated to a picnic at the dam, and a surprise dusk "happy hour" with appetizers and drinks set up along a watering hole. My daughter, age 11, formed a delightful friendship with Sarah, the manager. It is a very family friendly place and our every wish was accomodated. The entire experience was first class and we felt like royalty. We will never forget it... the thoughtfulness of the staff and guides is so much appreciated. I am hopeful that I can someday return and visit Nehimba again.

Room Tip: We stayed in the "family room" with a king bed and two twin beds. the layout was perfect...
