we visited 3 times, twice for dinner, once for lunch.
large selection of seafood dishes, salads, with some meat.
service a little indifferent, but if you try hard a smile will be rewarded.
always busy, both with the hotel guests and other travellers.
very reasonably priced.
recommended

The water we order hade best date prior feb 2007. When we ask about it they just said it was wrong and That it would not be On the Bill. But it was on the bill and when we asked about it they did nothing. The food was not good either, we ate the entrecote and i was a bit on the chewy side. We never went back!

We found Chez Marston to be a good quality restaurant and it has a nice atmosphere...it is centrally located on the island. The attached General Store is also very good for self-catering if you at a place that provides kitchen facilities...this is always a good option as the standard of self-catering accommodation is very high...try searching on tripadvisor for guesthouse/ specialty lodging/ B & B...go for a central location in Anse Reunion and you are close to everything...at least by bicycle

Having heard mixed reviews about Chez Marston, we decided to venture out there for dinner on our last evening in La Digue.
The wait staff and appearance of the restaurant are lovely but that's about all that was pleasant about this experience.
The food was atrocious from appetizers to dessert. The staff were attentive and seemed concerned that we didn't like any of our meals, leaving most of it uneaten, but nothing was done in way of compensation to ensure we might leave with a more positive attitude.
Contrary to what they will tell you, we were unable to use our credit cards to pay for our meals because their machine would not work properly.
The final highlight was definitely the horrid site of Marston himself walking around shirtless, looking like a total bum. Had we caught site of him prior to dinner, we would not have bothered to enter this establishment.
If you like good food or even just decent food, this is NOT the place to visit.

we liked chez marston because of their very very nice waitresses, good food (fish curry, sandwiches etc.), fresh juices and great coffee - they do have a great machine and nice lavazza coffee. price is normal to good, location is very central, next to the main road. mr. marston is a highly respected person on la dique and is often present there.
