“Good Creole Food”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

A lovely shady place at the beach with fantastic Croele food and reasonable prices. We had creole style oyster curry and creole roast chicken. Our son swears by their double thick chocolate milk shake (he had 2!). We enjoyed the creole style fried breadfruit. All the food was super tasty, and the staff was great. Definitely worth a visit.

“Best Creole Food Value we had in Seychelles!”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

After an exhausting morning in which we climbed dozens of granitic stones on our way to Anse Source d'Argent from Anse Marron we decided to refill our batteries at Lanbousier Restaurant. The prices here are attractive and before receiving our dishes we were wondering if the food will meet our expectations. I ordered a grilled chili fish while my girlfriend ordered a chicken creole curry and both dishes met our expectations. We had also a mango salad and as desert we went for pancakes with passion fruit icecream. This restaurant is owned by 3 creole women and everything here is Seychellois: food, drinks, deserts. It is really great to find such good food so close to Anse Source d'Argent in such an idylic place.
Lunch is served here from 12.30 to 3 p.m.

Will we go back? Definitely, on April 2013

“Best creole food we ate on our trip”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

Having read the lonely planet recommendation we decided to try out the restaurant and we were not disappointed. We had a coconut fish fillet dish and the creole style fish (battered fish fillet, creole style tomato/onion sauce and grated papaya), and both of our lunches were super tasty. We followed these with a banana and coconut pancake which was also yummy. A great location too as it is a stones throw from Anse Source D'Argent, a magnificent beach.

“Sorry: but not as good as we read and heard!”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

We read about the restaurant in the french Lonely Planet, and since our hotel was close to Anse D'Argent Beach we had lunch there. The ambiance and location is simple but nice - feet in the sand, view over the ocean and a "beach hut style" with local materials.
Services was sloppy. We did not know we had to come to the counter to order and sat down, waiting. Nobody had the energy to come over and inform us that its no table service even thug they saw us sitting there, waiting for somebody to take care of us. Food was mediocre...and not cheap.

Only open for lunch!
