Entrees come with choice of 2 sides...my husband ordered "garlic mashed potatoes" which were watery & tasteless (no evidence of garlic and a distant cousin of real mashed potatoes) and creamed spinach (also tasteless). My sides were cole slaw (very ordinary) and a baked sweet potato (very plain & no butter). My grilled tuna was excellent & his seafood platter was ok. Bread, roasted garlic and olive oil starter was also good.

Just tried this new seafood restaurant. The New England clam chowder was delicious. My wife had the grilled swordfish. Very good but the fish portion was a little smaller than other restaurants. I had the stuffed catfish. It had two filets stuffed with crabmeat and andouilli sausage - very tasty and not spicy at all. Can't wait to return especially during the summer to eat on their outdoor patio. The service was excellent.

We were very glad to see a new seafood restaurant in the same location as the venerable Crabby Dan's and were eager to try it out. When we came in the staff was very brisk and friendly and eager to help, but then that eagerness turned to disarray.
We ordered and were off to a great start with the NE clam chowder, which was excellent, but then it all went downhill. The main course came out cold and the grilled fish was way overcooked, with the fish dry as a bone. We sent it back and they basically microwaved it, which made it slightly warmer but made the fish taste like a piece of toast. We are not complainers, but complained to the waitress, who was unsure what to do with it, but eventually the manager came over and apologized, but did nothing to change out the dish or take another order. He did say he'd comp us dessert, which we did not care about, but when the waitress came over he apparently had not told her anything, not that we wanted dessert after that awful dinner.
We sent most of it back and told the waitress we were doing so because it was completely unsatisfactory, but nothing came of that either,
To be fair this was early on and they had just recently opened, so maybe it's better now and we're eager to see other reviews, but we've had better fish in diners and the food here was poorly done, the staff was in a bit of disarray, and all we can say is we miss Crabby Dan's.

Dined tonight at The Fishery Grill with my husband. We had a reservation for 7:45 and were seated promptly at 7:45, which was quite shocking considering how busy the restaurant was. It is nice to see that even on a busy Friday, customers with reservations are not lost in the shuffle! Immediately after we were seated we were served a warm loaf of bread with a delicious olive oil and garlic spread. Very nice drink/cocktail menu and a fabulous wine list! We shared a bottle of the Blue Pirate pinot noir. [highly recommend it!] For appetizers we shared the screaming shrimp and it was out of this world! For dinner my husband had a crab crusted halibut (not my thing but he said it was excellent.) His entree came with a choice of two sides, for which he had the cream spinach and potato croquette. (and there were many other choices!) I chose the spinach fettuccine which came with crabmeat and baby shrimp in a delicious white wine and butter sauce. We were so full after our amazing dinners, but couldn't pass up a slice of the key lime pie, which we found out is homemade daily! It was the greatest key lime pie I have EVER had. The Fishery Grill is a restaurant NOT to be missed if you are going to be in the Glen Head/Glen Cove/Sea Cliff area! (and if you're not in the area, get there soon!) Not to be forgotten, the staff is as good as the food! All staff members were friendly and courteous. Management was very involved. Highly recommend reservations! Enjoy!
