Had a wonderful sister's trip (all in our late 50's-early 60's) here- just the 3 of us. Each our own bedroom and lots of space. Clean, quiet, private, and everything you need. Great front and back porch sitting. There is a full kitchen and would have been easy to cook (lots of farmer's markets) but we mainly ate out- great local restaurants.
Lyn was very attentive to answer questions. Quick response. We enjoyed the easy travel to Frederick Church property, Culinary Institute of America, and Hyde Park/FDR museum. Would definitely stay here again.
Two couples rented this home for a weekend because our friends were getting married 5 minutes away in Germantown. It is a lovely, comfortable home with a great backyard! I especially appreciated being able to do my laundry there since I had been away for a week beforehand :)
Lyn is super friendly and provided lots of ideas of what to do in the area. We ended up spending time in Tivoli for dinner, had a great breakfast in Red Hook, and picked berries and asparagus nearby. Great trip! I'd definitely recommend!
Four of us enjoyed a relaxing 4 night stay in Lyn's home in Germantown. Lyn was easy to contact and she responded immediately to all my questions and concerns before and during our stay.
The large windows, original wood floors and woodwork are outstanding. This house is well maintained and the photos are accurate. Everything we needed was supplied along with great views and a 'down home' feeling. I will definitely go back.... it is an easy short drive to Rhinebeck . Lyn is a wonderful host!
This is a lovely cottage! The owner's descriptions are accurate and up-to-date. Lyn provides excellent information about the local area, including nearby shops and historic venues. The house is very well-equipped. I especially appreciated the wonderful kitchen and dining room. Bedrooms are comfortable and cozy. Highly recommended! (September 2017 stay)
This place was as pictured, and it was very clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. We traveled for our daughter's graduation from Bard, and it was a convenient location. Lyn was terrific to work with -- so helpful and responsive. We highly recommend this home.
Lovely home overlooking farmland. We liked watching the horses out grazing as the sun set. The house has everything you need and lots of charm. Great front porch and screened in back porch. My son loved the tiny picnic table on the porch. Lots of options for relaxing inside or out. The views of the mountains and farms in the surrounding area are amazing. We enjoyed a stop at a vineyard just down the road. The homeowner, Lyn, was very easy to work with, had great communications and a nice list of options of places to visit nearby. Not too far from Rhinebeck. Way better than staying in any hotel in the area. I would definitely recommend a visit. We hope to return next year!
Everyone has their own definition of perfection, but for me Lyn's house does it. The exact location of the house is one of my favorite little areas in the HV. There were 3 of us, one elderly, one 4 years old, and everyone was thrilled. We spent a lot of time reading and painting pictures on the front porch, exploring the backyard, exploring the farm-y, horse-y country around the house, cooking and eating in the spacious dining room and kitchen, and reading together in the spacious living room. Lyn is extremely responsive and helpful and there really was not a problem with the entire stay from start to finish. I'd stay again anytime soon, the sooner the better.
