As a baseline, this Ramada compared to others in the chain is well above average. It’s in a nice position overlooking Seneca Lake. Some rooms are updated, others are not. We had a lake view renovated room and it was comfortable with good bed and shower and good A/C. We were there with a convention and while it’s apparent the management makes an effort to accommodate large groups they have not trained the employees anything about dealing with large groups or what has been agreed to with large groups. It seems management wants to stay “above the fray” and the employees are left untrained and clueless, which then transfers to disappointed customers. Audio/visual was malfunctioning in the conference room. Parking arrangements for our group was handled extremely poorly, with each Ramada employee saying something different about where to park, etc. This led to several problems for people, including vandalism and threats of towing.
I would stay there again as an individual, but would certainly NOT hold a conference or group function of any sort there.
The pool is way too small – it’s virtually the size of a hot tub. Also, please fix the elevators and my goodness clean the carpets in the elevators – they are disgusting and smell bad! The restaurant is pretty good - they try to push the sparse and low quality buffet breakfast on you when there is a large group, but order off the menu if you like your food to be hot temperature and taste good.
