So nice to have a really good dinner right in the Inn and not have to go off property. Great staff and many good choices, loved it for the light breakfast included in our stay.l

Visited this restaurant several years ago and had a pleasant meal. Went again recently for a special occasion and was disappointed. Three out of four in our party ordered seafood for the main course - all thought the fish was not fresh and was tasteless. This restaurant has a very nice ambiance, especially when seated outside in their courtyard, but the food quality and service were totally lacking. Offered to chat with the chef or the manager about our displeasure, but neither came forward. Not likely to return.

Candlelight. Live music. Open door with a view across immaculate gardens and Lake Seneca. Four course meal prepared and cooked to perfection (our entrees were Grilled lamb with pesto and mint and a traditional filet mignon). Melt in your mouth chocolate decadence to finish. A great meal.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch, because it was lunch time and we thought the place would have a great view. The view of the lake is great and there are pretty formal gardesn to view as well. The room was pleasant as was the help.

So much for the positives.

We were told, that most of the items on the menu they couldn't serve, because the food delivery didn't come today. Food service distributors rarely miss deliveries. I know as I was in the business. So either the order was never placed or the restaurant is on credit hold with all of the major purveyors. Since we were the only ones having lunch at Noon, I expect the credit hold is the likely answer.

My wife had a ceasar salad. Her salad from the Roy Rogers on the the NYS Throughway was fresher and tastier. My open face beef sandwich was rare and coated with too much mayonaise. The help, all high school and college aged, twiddled their thumbs in the kitchen. Service was fine, but the help simply had nothing to do.

Wait to try this place under new ownership, which I suspect will be soon. The room is sweet and the view is great.

We made sure to dine al fresco while staying at Geneva on the Lake. The setting could not have been better with views of the formal gardens and lake beyond. The live band that payed in the background was amazing and set the tone for a comfortable dining experience.

Unfortunately, the positive impression ended there. For a 4-star resort, we were surprised to be sitting on patio furniture with no cushions. The f-course meal, while very original, was average in its presentation and taste. I guess I had expected to be "wowed" and only got an average meal.

Seemed expensive for what we were served.
