Nowhere on the Days Inn website did it state that the hotel was undergoing extensive renovations, but that is what we found when we arrived.
No proper sign, just a Days inn banner drapped over the Motel 6 sign in the front.
As we reached the front of the hotel we were greeted with piles of construction material and tools.
The lobby itself was a mess too (everything had been moved out of the way, there was no lace to sit.
The girl who checked us in was very pleasant, and did warn us that the rear stairwell near our room had just been painted, and the stairway smelled of paint, but assured us that the room would not.
The stairway was stinky and covered in plastic sheets, I was sad this place had no elevator.
Parking in the rear of the building gave us a great view of the stack of matresses they had piled back there too.
Once we got to the room it was an ok room, nothing fancy, but 2 beds for $60.00 is what we paid for and what we got.
The bed was not very comfortable, I would say the matress belongs in the pile behind the hotel.
We checked in late, so going elsewhere was not much of an option, but I wonder why Days Inn would not just close the hotel for a few weeks while they did these extensive renovations.
