We took our granddaughters on a Saturday afternoon. Both the 7 and 10 year old greatly enjoyed the LICM. Highlights included the bubble room, climbing through the open tunnel, building a toy house and playing outdoors in the lovely water playground. The only drawback is the lack of a cafe. There are V E R Y limited vending machine options. ...no outside food allowed. We ate at the nearby Cheesecake Factory before our visit and look forward to returning on a weekday - less crowded.

I went to the museum with my son. It was rather expensive, costing $12 each. The place is not big, so it can be crowded. It basically tries to broaden children’s horizon. Some exhibits are interesting. Among them are Morse's code machine and graphic designing. The radio studio looks fascinating, but was out of order. If you have a small kid, it would be helpful to visit.

This place is great for kids from 2-10 years old. Lots for them to do, it's very hands-on, they keep the place clean and displays are all interesting even if you've been there before. We go about twice a year and it's still fun - especially like the outdoor area in the warmer months. And everything is pretty easily accessible even with a stroller.
Some local libraries are museum members and offer "museum passes" that you can borrow and you get in for free!

Great place on a rainy day but tends to get crowded. Pricey for a one time visit but you can get family plans for multiple visits.
