lots of good restaurants, a few interesting stores, nice gazebo at the end for views of the bay, ice cream and Italian ice venues, fresh fish markets, pleasant place to stroll on a nice summer day or evening. Gets crowded on weekends at night with music at almost every restaurant. Gets a young crowd.

You can't beat "The Mile" for drinks, food, music, or people watching in the summer.

Just come early before the parking gets bad and remember the music has to stop midweek at 10pm and 11pm on weekends.

EB. Elliot's on the Nautical mile is one of many hosting live music. Though the winters are slow there a few locals places keep the music playing. Check out the listings and look for such bands as The Rockin 45s , Generations, and Noize. These are bands that get you dancing and keep you on the dance floor.

Great place for dinner, drinks or even just a long walk, listen to the bands as you walk by each restaurant.

We were disappointed to see how much damage there was from hurricane Sandy, as so many of the places we loved were shut down and out of business. The area will take some time to recover as a few of the restaurants are opened and there was a party boat with a lively crowd going out as we arrived. I am sure that by next summer the place will be much more active.
