Description: This is the TripAdvisor page for the Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard's Snack Barn Restaurant & Bakery ONLY. Search "Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard" for the main TripAdvisor site. The Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard's foodservice outlet called the Snack Barn & Bakery is adjacent to the Mill in a restored barn. The menu includes fresh baked goods, soups, sandwiches, beverages and a full line of ice cream treats. The pulled pork BBQ, pot roast sandwich and soups or chili in a bread bowl are favorites to be enjoyed with a cider float or ice-cold cider slush. Here all the baking is done on-premise including all the Mill's pies, breads and cookies. You can tell when the ovens are in action from the wonderful aromas in the air. Freshly brewed coffee or hot spiced cider is a perfect accompaniment for a Cider Doughnut or a colossal cinnamon bun. Plenty of outside seating is available with additional tables on the boardwalk overlooking the Millpond. An inside seating counter is available for inclement weather.

Mainly visiting Cooperstown. This very busy mill was a great idea to adventure away from the town. It was a very scenic drive. About 15 minutes from town. Had quite a little bit to do. You can feed the ducks, kid area, food and wine tasting inside and then the snack and food. The food was good, especially the sweet potato fries. Also, the pie was very good. The meal deals were not exactly deals. Parking lot is across the cute little bridge and surrounded by pretty landscape. Lastly, their famous cider was excellent.

Stumbled upon this place as we were leaving Cooperstown area to get back up to the interstate. Much more than a typical cider mill. They have all sorts of gourmet snacks, sauces, honey, teas, fudge etc. Very touristy but the staff was very friendly and the cider was delicious. They even have a hard cider tasting area. Great outdoor play place for kids and they have a little walk up food/snack bar. We didn't eat there as it was early in the morning so I can't attest to the food options. Great little place but be ware the prices are pretty high.

Ate first at the cafe, big mistake- the store has sooo many samples and tastings but never the less- all good. On a budget, got hotdog meals that came with fries or sweet potaoe fries- regular fries were better to my surprise I usually prefer the sweet. Meal came with a slice of pie (flavor choices) we got a regular apple and an apple caramel walnut- the latter was sooooo much better- amazing actually. I'm sure the apple pie would normally be great but it's hard to compare after having the caramel and walnut one. Had the tourist brochure with the free apple cider slushee offer on it, it was pretty good. Wish we tried this donut dessert thing that sounded amazing. The patio was okay, plenty of seating, some with umbrellas. Lots and lots of flies around, kind of annoying when eating but we got a laugh at the irony being the name and all. Fun to feed the ducks at the pond behind it. There's a little play set for younger kids, Ide say ages 7 and under. Had to park across the street in the big lot as the lot on the property was full (we went around 3pm).

Sort of a tourist trap, but still enjoyed it.Has a large pond with many ducks and geese, which you can feed with their own duck chow(for a price).Lots of samples of their dressings, dips, jellys etc.Homemade doughnuts, baked goods,a little bit of everything.prices seem a bit high, but it still seems like a nice place to shop. The snack bar is next to the store and there's lots of tables to sit and eat by the pond.Would return if ever in the area.

The fly creek cider mil is worth the trip out of Cooperstown (only a 5 minute drive), but take your wallet..it is somewhat pricey. The place is very welcoming, the help is nice but occasionally a bit pushy. They have a great variety of goodies, lots to sample while you are there. The large press is great to see if you happen upon a pressing day for cider. The cider, available year round, is Delish. The duck pong out backs just loads of dun...you can feed the ducks and that is fun to do and watch!
