“Best hotel to stay outside Manhattan”

This is where I recommend my family and friends to stay when they are in town.I've had relatives stay here for the holidays three times and it the service was great every time. It is an easy and fast ride on the 7 train to Manhattan so that took them right to times square to then transfer easily to wherever they were going (Lots of broadway shows). The staff is very friendly and the rooms are super comfortable. You are not in the middle of Manhattan so after a long day they were able to go back to a more quiet and less noisy area and have a great night sleep.If flying in to La Guardia airport definitely recommend to use the complimentary shuttle service from the hotel.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and most of all for recommending your family here! We love to see guests return and to recommend us to family and friends! Our close proximity to NYC does make us the perfect place to stay!

Thank you also for recommending the use of our complimentary shuttle to and from LaGuardia Airport. Easy access to and from the airport is such a convenience our guests enjoy and is our pleasure to provide.

DeMarco is one of the best hotels. Their staff super friendly and very welcoming. The rooms are very clean feels like you're at home as if built yesterday like brand new. if you're looking for a hotel in the area this is the one for you their restaurant in the Magna downstairs has one of the best Italian cuisine I've ever experienced. and best of all the prices are just right

Facility and staff far exceeded our exception.

Pros
Easily accessed by #7 train from Grand Central Station
glad we ate first as little selection of meal in area
Kevin upgraded us to us to a mini suite
Super comfy bed
Full kitchen with huge well appointed bath
Free breakfast with Trip Advisor Coupon
Fast, friendly, free shuttle to airport

Cons
Plane traffic noise until about 10 pm...then it disappeared
Breakfast had few healthy offerings...no oatmeal, yogurt or fruit.

Thank you for your feedback! It is great to hear that we "exceeding your expectations" and were the "perfect end to your NYC vacation"! Our friendly staff, easy access to NYC and guest comfort are just a few of the things we pride ourselves on here.

Your review mentioned that there were not enough healthy items in the breakfast buffet. Please know that Magna's buffet does include hot oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruit daily. We are sorry if these items had run out and were not replenished in time during your visit.

Delightful place to stay while awaiting a flight out of LaGuardia. The front desk staff, both in the evening and the morning, was wonderful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The included buffet breakfast (by booking with the hotel directly) was excellent although the waitstaff service was mediocre.
AAA discount applied.

the hotel looks pretty new and big, free wifi, room is big as well, no breakfast if you book though expedia.com, their price was not competitive compared with other similar hotels.
the hotel gave me an impression that they are "not helpful", they charge money if you use their PC or print, very small amount of money, something like 0.25 cent per page; if you want to put you extra luggage in their hotel for a few days (I took a cruise, will check in to this hotel for another 5 nights after my-one-week-cruise), they charge $20 per piece per day, which is very annoying.
about 5-10 minutes walking to subway 7, you will get to Manhattan 5th Ave. within 40 minutes (you have to transfer to E or F during weekends, since 7 is under maintenance).

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you found the Marco to be new and spacious. Our complimentary breakfast offer is for guests who book directly with us, either through our website or by phone. All guests receive 10% discount on all meals, including breakfast in Magna, our on-site restaurant. I hope that during your stay you were able to take advantage of this offer.

Our Business Center is available to our guests 24/7. There is no charge to print boarding passes, however there is a nominal fee for all other printing needs. We are sorry we could not store your luggage at no cost while you were away on a cruise. Unfortunately, due to the hotel's limited storage space, there is a daily storage fee, after the initial first day.

Thank you for mentioning our proximity to mass transit. We hope that you will stay with us again the next time you are in the area.

Hi,

This hotel is reasonably priced but the bus driver for this hotel is tremendously horrible. We try to pick up a guest from the hotel and parked in front of the hotel. The bus driver for the hotel parked right next to the car and we couldn't go. We try to explain to the bus driver to move the van a little but he refused. Holy Crap! What kind of driver is this? This hotel need to regulate what is going on here. It is in Flushing, New York . There are many competitive hotels here.

We chose this place based on other Trip Advisor reviews. We arrived on February first and were spending the night in NY. The front desk staff on arrival were wonderful, Angelo and his co-worker, I did not write her name down, were pleasant and very accommodating. We arrived before 1:00 and they were able to let us check in early which was greatly appreciated. They even upgraded our room which was sweet!

The 2 bedroom suite was spacious with a kitchenette but no plates, silverware, pots, pans, etc, were available for use. The bathroom was pretty big, the beds were comfortable and for the one night that we were there it was fine.

We were starving but the Italian restaurant in the lobby was not open yet, so we ventured out. I had no idea that we were in the Chinatown section of Queens and all signs were in Chinese. My family was not willing to venture in to the restaurants because they did not appear to be able to pass health food inspections :-) We headed back to the hotel to eat at the restaurant. What a treat: cold Italian bread, cold butter, flat soda, long wait despite being the only patrons, and a server that was unaware of the beers available at the restaurant. This is how the conversation went:
Husband: What beers do you have?
Server: I don't know, a lot.
My husband got up and went to the bar to chose his beer. The food was mediocre. The experience was so bad that my husband preferred to take his chances with airport food fare the following morning.

We liked the hotel but would not return because we have very little command of the Chinese language so eating around the hotel would be difficult.
