There is always much to see and do here. The hands on exhibits are a delight for the kids! Coming up soon will be an Expo which will feature robotics, among other things. Check their website.

Affiliated with my local museum so entrance was free for my son and I-not worth the fees we would have to pay. Def SKIP the miniature golf.We waited behind a grp of 8 who allowed their kids to hit 20plus times and continued till they get the balls in.The 2 mothers (8/25/12 4.30p)with grp were very inconsiderate .There was only a cashier who could not manage the flow of people.
A young man (caucasian) was training at desk and he was rude. He obviously did not believe in logo "We make visitor management Work for us"! The floor staffs esp the ones at presentations are good.

It's a shame that the New York Hall of Science is so far out of town as it is quite a lengthy journey by subway. We also felt slightly uncomfortable at the walk from the subway to the venue as the area we had to walk through was......er......well.............let's just say.....enough said! However, it IS worth a visit if time allows, especially if you have children with you as it caters for inquiring minds of all ages and abilities. I have not awarded this attraction an 'excellent' as I feel, like other reviewers, that certain areas are in need of an upgrade.

The museum itself is bright and spacious. It has a coat and bag room where items can be deposited and reclaimed for a small charge. There is an array of 'hands-on' activities for children of all ages and I'd advise that you prepare yourself to spend the day there in order to allow enough time to enjoy all the activities. As with all attractions of this type my best advice is to take a brief look around all the floors soon after arriving in order to ascertain which are your favoured areas - otherwise too much time is 'wasted' in areas of lesser interest, and frustration sets in as the time ticks by (which it very swiftly does!).

It is worth mentioning that the Hall of Science is FREE on Fridays 2-5pm and Sundays 10-11am from September through to June.
