Description: Mulan restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Queens Crossing at Main Street and 39th Avenue in downtown Flushing. The upscale modern Asian restaurant is elegantly decorated to fit the surrounding atmosphere. Mulan features modern Asian decor, a square waterfall, elevated seating and leathered booths, all of which are complimented by the seductive quality of the traditional oriental motifs throughout the restaurant. See-through curtains are hung over the windows, which with the addition of warm light create a romantic and pleasant dining experience. Within the dining area dramatic shifts of light create an air of sophistication among waterfall walls, hardwood flooring and striking walls of glass and wood complemented by an extensive 200-bottle wine cellar.

“Private function”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

I requested a private room with clear instructions, numerous calls to follow up to make sure communication clear on both sides. We order ten different dishes, most are modernized Chinese, table service is average, flavours and techniques are above average. The main negative point is the noise from the main dining area, door close in on our room but we heard clearly what's going on outside. Very put off indeed. Their interior decoration may make diners feel it's such a flashy & modern place, however, the price, service, noise & anything from eye-level down to the floor are not up to the "high-end" Chinese they want to be known off.
Been once, not very keen to return

“Nice, Formal, Good”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

Mulan is on the 2nd floor of a buidling / mall reached by elevator. A bit more formal than I was expecting - more like somewhere for New Year's Eve, a wedding celebration, place to take your parents. Booths were well done and provided privacy. Servers spoke good English, very helpful. Food was good.

“Chic”

We love Mulans. Wonderful atmosphere and the food is good. Tey the duck...yummy. They need to work on the bartending services. Very slow especially when they are catering an event. Only 1 bartendar? Really!

“They're trying, but haven't gotten there”
Reviewed May 30, 2011

This place looks much better than what it is. I've been a few times over the past several months and the food has been consistently average and basically overpriced for what it is. The decor and finishes are attractive, but aren't enough to make this worthwhile for another visit.

“Bad time”
Reviewed October 8, 2010

A friend and I stopped for a beer on a Saturday afternoon and were verbally abused by a local man for absolutely no reason, the management did nothing about it, rather disappointing considering there were children within the area. I’ll certainly not be back.
