“Cute eclectic place with yummy lunch fare”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This neighborhood cafe has a wonderful variety of items on their menu from soups, sandwiches, huge salads, wraps and paninis to omelets, pancakes and french toast. I really liek the eclectic ambiance and have enjoyed everything I've eaten there- turkey sandwich on rye, egg salad sandwich on wheat, tuna salad sandwich on wheat. I recommend their balsamic dressing too- so good. It's a lovely chill place to go to catch up with friends and family during the day.

“very good local Irish Breakfast”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Very good Irish breakfast entrees, all the classics like Irish bacon, black and white pudding, salmon, soda bread etc. I've had the in-house made corned beef - absolutely delicious; big diced pieces of corned beef, peppers, potato and onion like you've never seen before and large portions. The omelets are large also. They get their bread made fresh daily from the bakery down the block. The rest of the menu is more American, salads, paninis, wraps, etc. Went last week at the height of lunchtime and only 1 waitress on. While she was very pleasant it was hard to get her attention for anything. Cute Irish artifacts hang around, the original teapot that the tea salesman brought to the USA is there, there is a story behind it, hence the name of the place. Live music on the weekends.

“A little bit of Ireland like it really is”
Reviewed April 3, 2012

Teapot is a little store front restaurant just 10 yards in from then main street in Floral Park.

If you are looking for a traditional restaurant or a faux Irish pub this is not for you, Its got a dozen mixed tables - some as big as a dining room table and others just for 2. They are in wood and veneers - with all kinds of mixed and matched chairs. There is a little bar in the rear with 1/2 dozen stools . Its like stepping into a little village place in western Ireland . Not a pretension in the place . One smiling waitress with the bartender do it all with a big smile for everyone. go for breakfast- lunch and dinner . Menu is the same . very very good brown bread and Irish soda bread to start.

Food is simple and good - mostly appetizers, some burgers, panninis and breakfast all day and night. on Thursday to Sat they serve dinner and that add 3 or 4 entrees - and everyone has been excellent - a stuff sole was worth 2x the price. its a very comfortable.

Their corned beef hash is the best i have have ever had - nothing like the mush you see in most places - fresh potatoes, with pulled corned beef and green peppers . Wonderful teas to chose from, several beers on tap and good inexpensive wines.

and on Friday and Sat nights they have live music from about 9PM - everything from rock and roll to country to Irish to the dead .

just a nice place
