Never disappoints. We come up from the city for an occasional weekend. This is our favorite splurge. So fun. Love the mariaci. Great evening. Always packed. Great management.

“Authentic, delicious, and not to be missed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

This is one of our favorite restaurants, ever. Living in the Hudson Valley, I miss real honest to goodness Mexican food from the west coast. The family who owns this business is from the Yucatan area, and they have been in the food business for 100 years. They really know their stuff!

You WILL not get a bad meal. All the items are delicious, but my favorite is the Cochinita Pibil (slow roasted pork wrapped in banana leaves, marinated in Sevilla oranges, and served with tortillas and pickled onions). The owner said it is his grandmother's recipe.

If you go on a weekend, there might be live guitar entertainment. They are family-friendly. There is a great bar (I recommend the Sangria). Do not miss this place, you'll be glad you came!

“A fiesta”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

Maya is like going to a Fiesta... it is crowded noisy and the band is always playing. The food is authentic mexican and is always very good. The owner always stops by to make sure things are as they should be - I love this place

“Always good.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2012

There's a reason there's often a wait for tables here. The food is fresh & delicious, and the margaritas make it all taste even better. Fresh tortilla chips & salsa to munch while waiting, guacamole made fresh at your table, and delicious entrees (just ask if you want a different combo than the ones listed on the menu). Try the tacos el carbon. The bar is pretty lively also.

“El Mejor!”

This is the best Mexican food and atmosphere you'll find anywhere! The drinks are generous and festive, the food is delicious with authentic spices, and the service is very pleasant.
