I have high standards when it comes to hotels, and I honestly can't say enough about this one. This was my third stay with a baseball team in the past 2 years, and the service and condition has been consistent every time. The staff are always very accommodating to our group of ball players and parents. The complimentary breakfast is a huge bonus, as are the pool and the spacious common areas. It has a great location with easy access to everything one can need while away from home. It's a home run in my book.

Were looking for weekend lodging central to a few places and Fishkill seemed to be central for lodging. We read the reviews on Hotel Sierra on tripadvisor, and that sealed the deal!

We booked a one bedroom suite the night before we were to stay at the hotel. We checked in the next day, and the 3 of us were upgraded to a two bedroom suite - what a treat! We found the free internet in the room very useful. The room was quiet, the king beds very comfortable, everything was very clean, and the breakfast the next morning was really great! It's been a long time since I've enoyed anything more than a free continental breakfast - how cool! We enjoyed made to order omlettes, eggs, bagels, cereal, etc.

The hotel also lists various restaurants in the area as well - a nice touch. The entire hotel is non smoking. Would definitely stay there again!

The suite was very nice. The building is quite new. The suite was very clean. Had a better than average kitchenette. Less then a mile to downtown Fishkill.

I didn't use the pool. I didn't drink in the bar, but it looked decent.

Breakfast was pretty good.

Coffee was better then average. Starbucks!

I got a great corporate rate. Considering what we paid for the room, it was a major bargain.

The hotel has a warmer feel then most hotels.
Staff was friendly.

We stayed at the Sierra after reading the reviews and I am so glad that I booked this hotel...

Everything about this hotel is great. Firstly the price is very reasonable and the room size of a 1 bedroom suite is great. The rooms are very clean and have a kitchen and two TV's which was handy. You can also buy food 24 hours a day which was helpful as we arrived at 3am.

The hotel has free use of 4 computers and you can browse the Internet and do some printing. The breakfast also looked very nice but we didnt have time to eat it.

The hotel is on the Route 9 and also close to the 52 and the 84. There are loads of shops and restaurants on the Route 9 so you will be spoilt for choice.

We normally stay in 4-5 star hotels when we visit New York and I was a little wary about staying here but in fact I would love to stay here again and wouldnt even consider anywhere else.

If you are staying in the mid Hudson area then dont bother to consider anywhere else THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY........................................................................

The Hotel Sierra was a great place to stay. The suite was amazing. It was huge with two bedrooms, a living room and a small kitchen. It was easy to find from the highway. They provided free wireless internet access. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Spent six nights at the sierra in a one-bedroomed suite while working in Poughkeepsie.

The sierra is a Suite hotel - and combines multi-room suites with conventional bedrooms.

The building is Lego-American hotel, but the entrance hall is inviting with its stone fireplace and leather armchairs.

Desk staff efficient and friendly.

My room was just perfect for a long-ish business stay. Spacious lounge / kitchenette give a real sense of homely roominess, and its nice to not have to spend all the time in the same room as your bed.

Separate TVs in the lounge & bedroom also nice touch. Large fridge, toaster, microwave and hob meant snacks can be easily prepared without resorting to the many eateries within walking distance some times.

A full, complementary breakfast is available in he Bistro, and fresh omelettes can be cooked for you if you order !

The bed was heavenly comfortable and everything worked in the room just as it should. An especially nice touch was the ipod dockable clock radio near the bed.

Fitness room and small pool helped work off the breakfast muffins.

Only downside was the wooden construction made it a little noisier than I would have liked sometimes.

All in all I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to be in or near Fishkill.
