We stopped at the Red Line for lunch on a trip from New England to PA. The diner was highly recommended by a friend from the area, but we were deeply disappointed. On the positive side, access from I-84 is easy, the facility is beautiful, the staff friendly and efficient. The menu offers a broad range of choices, with something for everyone. There was just one negative, but it was a deal-breaker: the kitchen had an incredibly heavy hand with garlic powder. Everything we ordered (except dessert) seemed saturated with it - even the dressing on the coleslaw. Perhaps one of the cooks was having a bad day - if so, management was remiss in not effectively monitoring what was being turned out. We make the trip through there several times a year, but we won't return to the Red Line.

We ate here for breakfast, but also one lunch, and one huge family brunch. The staff was friendly and accommodating; the food was good and varied enough to suit everyone from 6 to 66, and the prices in no way broke the bank. The only time we had to wait was Sunday brunch, but given that we had 15 people, that's not really surprising.

Had a few meals here while on vacation. Breakfast and dinner. Had the chicken pot pie for dinner, large portion and very tasty. Breakfast the next day was French toast. Again very good. Service was speedy and lots of selections. Good stop for business or pleasure!

It is a pleasure to welcome the Red Line Diner to the community. Good diners are hard to come by here. They are either too far away or they are lousy. The Red Line makes a great Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. (Red Line's relative, Table Talk Diner in Poughkeepsie, should take lessons from the chef here). Red Line also makes an awesome Reuben. The corned beef was incredibly tender and flavorful (it is also available with pastrami). We try the Reuben everywhere we go to use as a standard measure, and this Reuben may well be the best. The restaurant is clean and bright, and the service is excellent. Management seemed involved, asking customers how their meals were. We look forward to returning often to sample other dishes.

The service was great and the food was excellent and extremely ample serving...The prove is seeing so many people walking out of the restaurant with "baggies"
