“GREAT family waterpark”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

first... I'm shocked by the post below... this place is INCREDIBLY clean. we have season passes, so we've gone during all times of the year, busy and not busy. every time there is always workers in pink shirts constantly cleaning up. anyway, i just had to make that point... now onto the good stuff!

we usually get early so we can get a chair by the wave pool. both of my kids spend most of their time in there. besides that they spend their time on the bullet bowl and the half-pipe thingy. i wont do it, it is way to scary for me ha!

the food is REALLY good too. the owner was there once and he told us about how the food vendor is a local pizza company... you can tell the quality is much better then any other kind of waterpark food.

overall, we have no complaints.. if you have young kids (under 13) this place is perfect for you

“Very dirty and crowded”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

It was horrible. Tons of camp groups that were pushy and foulmouthed. And human feces on one of the stairways, so gross. We left immediately, and will never go back.

Shannon,

Regarding your crowded days comment , yes, there are days (particularly hot weekends) when the park is busy and it does tend to get crowded. This holds true for any amusement or water park during peak days of July and August.
Your comment regarding the stair case is most unusual. Each attraction has an attendant with a 2 way radio dedicated for moment to moment supervision. An incident such as you describe would have immediately been brought to either myself or our park GM, Andrew.
We are on sight daily to ensure that the park is meticulously maintained. For its size, SplashDown Beach boasts one of the largest janitorial squads in the country. The Park has won several awards including a Water Park industry leadership award where only the best of the best water parks in America are even considered.

If you would like to discuss your experience further, please call me at 845 897 9600.

“Fun Day Trip!”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

This place is small, but that is a good thing unlike other water parks, you're not walking mles between attractions. and considering it's tucked right there off route 9, they really squeeze in something for everyone. toddlers, pre schooler big kids and adults. Teenagers and college kids may get bored, as there are only a few really thrill-worthy rides. But if you live like an hour or so away, it's good to spend a half day here. The wave pool is really small compared to other parks, but the waves are strong, almost intense. Bullet bowl is fun, too. We went after most camps were done,so we didn't have that problem. I only have one kid, so while it is expensive, I can swing it. The lounge chairs fill up fast, but the lockers were good deal, and since the park is small, it's not such a hike back and forth. also, there are some nice shady spots on the grass to set up camp for the day aswell. I don't know whatr people expect, It's no blizzard beach or Mountain Creek, but we had fun.

“Small but Fun Water Park”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

SplashDown Beach Water Park is less than a two-hour drive from the city with beautiful mountains to see as you make this drive. Although the park is small compared to other parks, it's more reasonably priced and better suited for younger children. There are several water rides which are daring but not too scary. The lines aren't too bad, the park very clean, the lockers and changing rooms fine and the crowd is above average. If you want a small water park which is affordable with a $3 coupon on their website to print, a place where the kids can have "some" independence and a fun day for all ages, this might be a great place for you.
