Our first visit to the newly opened Toro restaurant was New Year's Eve 2007. While located in a small strip mall the interior (previously a sushi restaurant) is nicely decorated with a spacious sushi bar, booths as well as small private alcoves with hibachi tables. The menu offers Korean specialties such as BBQ and noodle dishes. Japan is represented by sushi, sashimi, katsu and noodle dishes. The service is personable. The ingredients are first rate and the variety can not be beat. The price varies widely with the type of dish ordered. If your group enjoys different Asian cuisines there is definitely something for everyone here. We have been back numerous times and recently enjoyed a dish called "Korean Stone Bowl". They bring a large (soup) bowl to the table filled with an assortment of vegetables, meats, spices etc. sitting on a bed of rice. On top is a large raw egg - but don't worry. The server takes a utensil and stirs everything in the bowl which you now realize is heated. The result is a Korean version of fried rice that is unlike any Chinese one I have ever had. As you eat your way to the bottom of the bowl, the remaining rice becomes crispy and crunchy from the residual heat - very good.
