Hullers is the favorite local watering hole for good reason. The bar/restaurant has been in the hands of three generations of the Hullar family, going on the fourth. Jacob Hullar I acquired the restaurant after WWI. A favorite with golfer's, the restaurant serves consistently good food, which arrives at your table hot and ready to eat. The service staff can pride itself on fast personal service. At times, especially Friday evenings, the place can be very crowded, but few seem to mind even a 45 minute wait in the congenial bar. Burgers, fish, beef, pork chops, soup and salads, are all homemade and fresh. The desserts are like dining at grandmas--apple dumplings a la mode, pies, and good hot coffee. Children are handled with grace, but sometimes the wait is longer than most children can sit still for.
Not a place to take the boss for dinner, or for a first date, so take your good friends, neighbors, family, guests, anyone you want to spend an evening of conversation over good food with, and you'll be a frequent visitor. Join the club!
