“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2014

It took my mother in law who was visiting from England to suggest a visit here. I've lived a good chunk of my life in the greater Syracuse area and had never been. The museum is located on the second floor of the Fayetteville Public Library, which just so happens to be housed in the old Stickley Factory. The building is incredible, the museum even more so. We even ate lunch at the little cafe that the Friends of the Library operate. It was a very pleasant day!

“Arts and Crafts Delight”

The bottom of building is now town Library, but great way to preserve town's history. Wonderful display of the beginnings of the Stickley family with beautiful original furniture.

“For people who like Arts and Crafts Style furniture”

This Museum is above the Fayetteville Library which is in the Arts and Crafts Style. It's small, but well done.

“Small but interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

The Stickley Museum provides an overview of the furniture designed and built by the 5 Stickley brothers in their various businesses. It's only open 2 days a week so check before going there. It's on the second floor of the local library which is located in the former Stickley factory. The museum is located in what was the finishing room.
Stickley is mostly known for the Arts & Crafts furniture designed by Gustav but this museum covers all of the furniture manufactured by all of the brothers. Some of it is less interesting that others but overall the museum provides you with a good idea of how the companies grew and changed over the years. The furniture is beautiful enough to make you want to order furniture from them at the museum so you can redecorate.
They do factory tours on Tuesday mornings.

“Interesting history”

I enjoyed learning about Gustav Stickley and his family of brothers all accomplished in their own right. The furniture is beautiful and collected by famous people all over the world.
