I was in the area to trace my ancestors who lived in nearby Marion. My experience with Pam, the Inn Keeper and the Church on Hill Street was superb. Pam was very helpful in making reservations for the Colonial Belle Boat ride on the Erie .Canal as well as giving directions in where to eat. This facility just opened this year after extensive renovations which preserved the history of the structure but added new bathrooms. All is done tastefully and first class. Breakfast was also very special with fresh fruit plus an egg sandwich cooked to order. Pam is a gracious host and well informed about the fascinating history of the house. There is also the Fairport Craft Beer Brewery just a short walk down Church Street with wonderful indoor and outdoor areas. Don't miss it if you like craft beer in a local atmosphere. This is a very walkable area of town which is an added delight.

I stayed here while biking the Erie Canal Towpath and what a great place to stay. It's right off Fairport's Main Street so you're close to all the great restaurants, shops, Canal and Towpath. I had a spacious room with a beautiful walk in shower that was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. There was even a secure place to stow my bike. Highly recommend!

We are so glad that we had a chance to get to know you and the other cyclists that stayed at The Inn. The whole trek that you folks were on was impressive. Thanks for the review! We hope to see you again someday - perhaps you'll do the Cycle the Erie Canal again next year!

We recently spent a couple of nights at the Inn on Church. It has only recently opened and is in a nicely restored century home located within walking distance of the downtown area and Erie Canal.

Pam (the innkeeper) is very accommodating and knowledgeable on the history of the home and surrounding area. She prepares a delicious breakfast in the morning and has some great suggestions on what to do and where to eat. All areas of the inn are accessible - you can prepare your own meals in the kitchen, sit on the huge front porch or just hang out in the backyard.

Fairport is a nice little town with many restaurants and bars. The Erie Canal is close by for walking, biking or paddling. You are also just a short drive away from Rochester nd all that it has to offer.

Room tip: If you are a light sleeper, avoid the Newman Room which faces a busy street.

My one night stay at The Inn was exactly what I needed. In a stressful time in my life, I was given visual serenity, the comfort of a great bed, 24 hour availability of tea, marvelous local history, and a great breakfast.

The Inn On Church in the village of Fairport, New York is a tremendous jewel added to a tremendous village. The big, beautiful, Victorian home in the middle of the village is a real charm. Clean, warm, beautiful bedrooms, comfortable beds, linens that are so fine, wonderful showers; the prefect place. Pam, one of the owners, is just so warm and friendly, like talking with a close friend. Her breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit and breakfast sandwich and much more. After breakfast we had a wonderful, interesting, discussion regarding the history of the house. Pam brought out some amazing documents, articles and photographs about the house. Very interesting. The location of the Inn is very convenient as well. We walked to the Green Lantern Inn for a tremendous dinner in a historic mansion. Then a nice walk over the Erie Canal bridge to the B-Side bar where we listened to a very good R&B band playing to a friendly crowd. A perfect Saturday night in the village of Fairport. The Inn on Church is another tremendous enhancement to the wonder that is Fairport.
