Years ago when Tony’s was in the corner of the old shopping center where the parking lot was sinking, we would line up outside to get in on a weekend night to get a great tasting pie or a packed sub or baked lasagna. I had moved away for more then 15 years and visited lots of Italian restaurants since my last meal at the old Tony’s. Now that the location has changed and the building is new it is nice to know that the taste of the food hasn’t changed. The pizza is as good or better then it was at the old location as are the sandwiches and all the other menu items. Something else that hasn’t changed is the friendliness of the staff. Everyone there makes you feel welcome and important from the moment you walk in until you leave.
One thing that is new, there are strange conversations going on in the washrooms at Tony’s. When you go there, be sure to ask your server what that is all about. The answer is unique and very interesting.
