We have seen many shows over several years. The performances are always excellent. The performers work very hard to bring about an entertaining experience. However, the food is what will keep us from returning in the future. Some reviewers liken it to wedding food; it's worse than that. Wedding food is at least edible. This place needs to reconsider offering food at all if it can't improve its offerings. The last time we saw a performance, the fish was too old, hard, tasteless, and foul smelling to be able to eat anything that was within a foot of it. We basically ate bread and ice cream for dinner. I actually e-mailed the theater and told them they would have been better off ordering food from the nearby diner and serving it to the audience. There is no excuse for bad food. Yes, I am aware that this is not an upscale restaurant and you don't come here soley for the dining experience; but I at least expect to be able to eat food that is presented to me. I am not that picky but food that is not edible is not acceptable. The theater itself needs a makeover. When you first walk in to the theater, there is a stale smell that overcomes you; it takes a while to get used to it; this was not a one-time occurence; it has happened over the last several visits. So while the performances are very entertaining, the venue is convenient and close to home, the food is unacceptable and keeps you from enjoying the total experience.
