“Best of the Local Restaurants”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

This is still the "happening" plce in Elmira. The food is alsways consistently tasty. The specials are very creative. And the staf has always been the best, very attentive and fast! The owners are always there to make sure you are having a great ding experience. Lunch is fast and friendly (usually busy) and the live music on the weekends is usually the best of the local talent. Check it out!

“So good, so nice!”
Reviewed April 24, 2013 via mobile

My dad went to Horigan's and wanted to go back so I went with him. The atmosphere was Irish pub. The menu was quite extensive with bar food, Irish fare and solid lunch and dinner entrees. There's a popcorn machine in the corner for snacking while chatting, a large bar with booths around and a large section of tables away from the bar. The French onion soup was awesome! The burgers are amazing! The wraps are great! Everything we had was delicious. The prices are typical of the area, $9 for the burger and wrap platters. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back!

“Shepard's Pie.”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

My wife and I just had dinner at Horigan's Tavern. She had a South Western Wrap {so big it should of been called a pillow} and I had the Shepard's pie! She loved the wrap and I was very impressed with the pie! First off the size was very substantial and the lamb inside was some of the best tasting and melt in your mouth tender I have had! We will be going back!

“2nd time and still love it”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

We have gone to Horigan's the last 2 times we've been in town and it's as good as the first time we went (a year ago). The fish-n-chips are delicious. Arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night and had to wait 45 min for a table, so the place gets packed early. Not a problem, tho, as they have a great bar with lots of selection and cold beer on draft. I agree with some of the other reviewers that some of the waitstaff could be a bit friendlier and more attentive, but it wouldn't deter us from going here again in the future. (Maybe they are short-staffed?) We liked that the hostess kept checking in with us as she would pass us in the bar as we waited for a table. Atmosphere is typical neighborhood Irish pub. The packed-out bar was loud but to be expected on a Friday night.
