“Well marked and interesting”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

This was our final stop (no pun) after viewing other landmarks in Samuel Clemens life, so we found the background made the stop very interesting. The signs made the grave sites of any notables easy to find.

“Great if you are into Cemetarys & Graveyards!”
Reviewed June 22, 2012

Mark Twain, his real name being Samual Clemens, is burried in the Langdon family plot. Langdon was his wife's maiden name. The memorial that his daughter eected in his honor, and her husbands honor, is "Mark Twain" - or 12 feet in riverboat lingo.

Also buried in Woodlawn Cemetary are Ernie Davis, the great football player who's life was cut short by disease (remember the movie??).

Another famous grave is that of Hal Roach. He was the producer of the Little Rascal and the Our Gang black and white features with Spanky, Alfalfa, Darla, and Buckwheat. One interesting fact about them is that they were "lost" for a little while and were eventually found in Hal Roach's basement. If you remember watching them, you'll remember how chopped up they seemed to be...well, that was because they were making them less offensive... even back then, the P.C. movement had started!

There are signes to all of the graves, so you cannot miss them. There are other graves of less famous prople but are striking just the same.
