Don't get me wrong, the duck Penang is delicious. It's just double the price of the chicken curry. Same goes for the red snapper. We had the fish with like, chili, cilantro and fish sauce, and it was the perfect mix of ingredients. You just don't expect to get a bill for $72 for two when no one bought alcohol.

Went again with our family early on a Saturday - Enjoyed the tofu fried rice, panang duck curry (best I have ever had), wonderful Chinese broccoli with fried pork and an enjoyable mango seafood salad. Finished with a delicious coconut custard. Around us were several Asian families with kids who ordered a wide selection of other dishes. The restaurant is tiny and fills easily. Reservations are sometimes accepted - so call. They just received their license license so you can no longer bring you're own beer or wine. This is too bad since the dark Singapore beer available in the local bodega is not available at Ayada.

Ayada is not fancy, but food is tops, service was execellent and the price is fare. Take the time and read the reviews in the NY Times as well as NY Mag - they are quite detailed.

Wow the pepper use is off the hook here. Lovely and diverse blend of flavors. The shrimp "ceviche" covered in peppers and cilantro is extraordinary. This is certainly worth the trip and is BYOB--and make it beer.
