The fried bologna sandwich was very good. We sat in a booth with excellent service and the next day sat at the bar with similar great service. Fair prices and a neat atmosphere.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch last week while touring the downtown Ellicottville shops.

We liked the decor (specifically the buffalo head on the wall) and atmosphere of this bar and our food was just ok but the service was not good.

Going forward we will stick with Dina's unless we're only looking to have a drink.

We go to the Gin Mill every year when we ski. The service is usually good and the ski crowd is great! We really like the Gin Mill. The people are friendly, too.

This a bar that serves food. Order the type of food, that a bar does well. We ordered 2 dinners, Pot Roast and Cajun Salmon. Both tasted burnt. The Salmon was barely edible, cooked to a crisp all the way around. Nearly the same with the Pot Roast. The prices were cheap, but you get what you pay for. The peas were a strange mix of frozen and canned. The fresh cut fries were good. So order those. The sandwiches and fried foods around us all looked great. But dinners left MUCH to be desired. Wait staff was friendly. We visited on a Monday night and it was busy and noisy. If that is what you are looking for... a great place. We were disappointed. If you offer dinners, you should be able to cook them.

She was unwilling to split the bill for 3 couples. Even when we asked to split the bill before we ordered the food. Ordered the Philly cheese steak and upgraded from potato chips to fries for 1.99 extra. When an order of fries is 1.99 it did not make sense. Gave us cold buns for the sandwichs and cold gravy. Not a nice experience, but food was ok.
