We spent two nights at the Ilex Inn in February, and were very pleased with the choice. Our room was warm and inviting, with a chair, and gas fireplace. The bathrooms were large by inn standards. Everything was clean and well maintained. The second floor sitting area was a pleasant surprise with coffee maker, and tiny fridge large enough to keep snacks and a couple of drinks cold. There was also a very comfortable sitting area downstairs. The outdoor hot tub with covered roof afforded a view of the backyard and woods beyond. Breakfasts were hearty, home-made and served by the pleasant hosts, Rick and Glenda. The only downside was the somewhat long walk to town, likely an easy hike in the summer, but a bit of a distance with snow covered sidewalks. Prices were comparable to similar properties in this trendy, fun, but overpriced town.
