We just returned from a wonderful week in Ellicottville, Snow Pine Village Condos (G204).The rooms were everything and more, comfortable furniture, tastefully decorated with a nice balcony where we could sit out, read and enjoy the beautiful sunny weather.
There were many activities nearby including Pumpkinville, Amish Country, Griffith Sculpture Park and we even drove 1 and 1/2 hours to Niagara Falls. We also enjoyed the casinos and the shops in the downtown area. Restaurants were great and the shop proprietors were extremely friendly. I only wish we had gone maybe two weeks later so that we could enjoy the fall foliage in more color.

We thought our first awful experience in SnowPine Village was just bad luck (awful experience), so we went back a 2nd time. We won't make that mistake ever again. For $335 per night (!!) you have to walk up and down 29 icy wooden stairs with luggage, and wearing ski boots carrying skis when you're returning from the slopes. What an awful design! Then, the building is like a frat house - thin walls, small hallways and absolutely NO amenities. In our first rental, every piece of furniture was an afterthought; the room hadn't been painted in probably 10 years; clocks and lamps didn't work; there was dirt on ceiling fans, furniture and along the floors of the walls, and we heard every conversation, door slam and party in the building.
One night the owners across the hall left their dog and went out for the night. We had to listen to the dog bark for over 2 straight hours!! Management and security couldn't contact them and did nothing.
Beware - their "quiet hour" begins at 11pm, and many renters completely ignore it.
Also beware - they rate their units A, B and C...C being the worst. I was floored to hear that our first unit was rated a B!!! I couldn't imagine a condo any worse! And yet there were C units that were!
In summary, it's a terrible place unless you like to overpay for no amenities and substandard facilities. I felt like we were in a cheap motel.

This past weekend, we spent two delightful nights at SnowPine .
The rental management staff were friendly and helpful.
We had problems with operating the wood fireplace, the rental management staff sent a maintenance staff to our condo and he showed us how to operate the fireplace.

We plan to rent again at SnowPine and hopefully Cindy's lift chair will be open so we can ski out the back door of our condo to Cindy's lift chair.

We recently returned home from the most miserable ski weekend ever! Our unit(G304) in the Snow Pine condos was so disgusting, that we left a day early. The unit smelled of cigarette smoke so bad we could not even hang out in it. When we complained they sent a maintenance man up, who agreed it smelled bad, but there was little he could do. The office informed us we could not move due to thier obligation to the condo owner.
We not only took our kids out of school for this special weekend, we could not use our three day ski pass($450), and to top it all off, we had to wash unused clothing due to the odor that absorbed into them.
Also ski in ski out was not true at all, we had no access, however that was the least of our problems!
We liked the mountain, but we will never stay at any of these accomodations again.
Next time we will go back to the competitors at Peak n Peek, they stand by thier accomodations, unlike this management, who made the choice to keep us in this toxic unit.
Really dirty too!
