“Not too good”
Reviewed April 14, 2014 via mobile

I was there on Saturday the food tasted like it was microwaved the service was so bad I only left 5 dollars for a tip on a bill that was close to one hundred dollars the waitress didn't even come over to ask how everything was it is over priced and the food wasn't very good I will not be going there again

“This is for real....real Mexican food”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

Let me start by saying that I have traveled extensively throughout Mexico and have enjoyed Mexican food there from the most exquisite restaurants to the street car vendors that you find all over the place and usually tend to be off limits to most gringos. Without doubt, Gaby's is one of the best Mexican food I have tried in this country. The food is reasonably priced and plentiful and the service is friendly and professional with either owner Genaro or his lovely wife -both from Mexico -always present to supervise operations. The one difference with the food you might find in Mexico is that Gaby's tends to go easy on the fire level while in Mexico even eggs over easy for breakfast will have picante. I like picante so I asked for their home made hot sauce which I would recommend since it is hot enough to remind you or your grandmother yet not to the point where you might actually see her. Try the Chicken Cinco de Mayo; a chicken francese based dish smothered with a salsa pico de gallo. Also try the mushrooms stuffed with seafood. Their mole is excellent; this tends to be the mark of good Mexican cuisine since mole is a very difficult sauce to make. Their guacamole is also homemade and genuine as well. Gaby's Cafe is a keeper.

“Nothing special”
Reviewed February 16, 2014 via mobile

The ambiance is a 10. The food is a 5. Mexican food should be bold and flavorful but this lacks seasoning. Prices are ok but the quality of food makes it an occasional visit rather than a regular.

“Yummy!!!”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

If you are looking for a great atmosphere, good food, ( plenty of leftovers) and reasonable prices You can't beat gaby's. The Guacamole is fantastic and if you can eat all of the big burritos I give you extra credit. The margaritas are great but be careful they hit you pretty good!

“Expected great,just average”
Reviewed November 18, 2013 via mobile

We had been told that Gabby's Cafe was a GREAT Mexican restaurant. We found the food pleasant, but on the bland side....and overpriced. The exception was the guacamole at the table. It was definitely a novelty and great guacamole but expensive. We also found the service efficient but lacking in the warmth of most Latin establishments. My suggestions...Lower the prices and really welcome your customers!
