Room very clean, huge tub, everyone very nice! Check in a little slow, because they were swamped.

Stayed here as a family of five. Nice, comfortable room, with flat screen tv, desk, microwave and fridge. Good value using triple A. Pretty easy to get to from I-90. Staff was helpful with directions to local eateries, which were not super close, but good enough. We ended up getting take out at Dinosaur BBQ in downtown Syracuse and the staff was nice enough to give us proper plates and silverware to use.
Breakfast was not included, but was $4.95 a person for continental, so we went to McDonalds instead.
I would stay there again.

My wife and I often stay at Hilton Garden Inns as the quality is uniformly good and the rooms have a small refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker. The East Syracuse Hilton Garden Inn seems to be in a hotel building that was bought after another chain had built it as the footprint & lay out was different than the others that we had stayed at. The room thermostat was also an old style one instead of digital. We stayed here for 6 nights while visiting family and doing genealogical research.

The positives were:
- Clean rooms and facility.
- Large rooms with digital television & amenities mentioned above.
- Quiet rooms. The first two nights there the hotel was full. Among the groups were cheerleading teams attending a local competition & many people attending the Syracuse National car show. (The parking lot was filled with hot rods & roadsters.)
- Helpful staff, especially at the front desk.
- Nice small fitness room available for use 24 hours a day with towels available and bathroom

The negatives were:
- Old thermostat that would shut down the air conditioning unit if the setting was moved more than 5 degrees at a time. The front desk was notified and within minutes a maintenance man was in our room to reset the AC unit and restart it. This took between 5 and 10 minutes.
- Old fitted sheets with worn out elastic so that they came undone during the night. The front desk was told of this problem. We realized that this was a problem that could be changed by management purchasing new fitted sheets.
- Flat sheets that were too small for a king size bed. The front desk was told of this problem and the next night we returned to find that housekeeping had rotated the sheets a quarter turn so that the flat sheet covered the width of the bed but now it did not cover the length.

Would we stay here again? Yes. Overall our experience was very good. We still are pleased with the Hilton brand and find that the Hilton Garden Inns are great for long stays.

This is a "newer" hotel off the beaten path in the Syracuse area with easy and quick access to the airport, mall and Syracuse University. There are tons of other options on Carrier Circle right off of the NY State Thruway...but drive the extra block or so and stay here instead! Very nice and quiet hotel with great staff and well-appointed rooms. Cheaper than most other options on the Circle and def. a better choice than trying to stay in downtown Syracuse or at the Sheraton on the campus of Syracuse University.

Room Tip: No special tips--2x there and always A+!

I stayed at this property four years ago and had an excellent overall experience. This time around, I had a decidedly more mixed impression.

The pros: helpful and friendly front desk staff; extremely fast in-room wi-fi;, huge assortment of HD cable channels on in-room TV.

The cons: bed much less comfortable than at other HGI locations, building showing signs of age, such as missing patch of plaster on guest room ceiling; in-room coffee poor (Maxwell House!), no artificial sweetener provided, breakfast in lobby restaurant far below HGI standards, coffee wholly undrinkable. Breakfast cook should be replaced ASAP.

Stayed for 1 night. Arrived 9pm. Very clean, looks fairly new. When we arrived, the guests across the hall left their finished room service dishes in the hallway. Dishes still there the next morning. First time staying at a Hilton Garden Inn. Doesn't have continental breakfast, but otherwise would recommend.

My son and I stayed one night last week when we were in town to tour Syracuse University. I booked this particular room using Visa Scorecard points. I thought I had booked a 1-bedroom suite but I in fact booked a jr. suite which has a half wall between the bedroom and the living room. I asked at the front desk if there was was any chance I could get a true 1-bedroom and they moved me right away with no additional charge. The next day, as we were leaving the University I had a message from the front desk. My son had left his cell phone charger behind, which we hadn't even realized yet. They offered to mail it to our house but we stopped by on our way out of town to get it. We stayed at four different Hiltons (Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn, Doubletree, Hilton Garden) last week on our college tour and this was our favorite room and staff.
