SpringHill Suites Syracuse Carrier Circle

I went to Syracuse University for 4 years and even worked in a hotel in the area for a few months. I thought it was a Modern hotel for the Syracuse area- The Springhill suites are in the carrier location circle a little further off from the other hotels. The hotel looked new- main guest areas and guestrooms were clean, new-looking. The guestroom was spacious, and clean.
I would definitely recommend this property and stay here when I return.
The fitness center is small- but good for a springhill suites- newer equipment is a plus!
Lastly, Breakfast complimentary was great quality- always refreshed, and good selection- I even went back twice-
Thanks for the great experience!

This was our first visit to this hotel, but not our first to Syracuse. We will be sure to return to Springhill Suites next time we're in town, as it was almost perfect, and at a really good price.

The room was on the top floor, a studio suite. It was very quiet, and spotlessly clean - everywhere, even the microwave and fridge were impeccable. The staff was friendly and very helpful, front desk, cleaning people, breakfast workers.

The pool is small, 3 feet deep, so great for younger children to splash around, not really a lap pool. It was also spotlessly clean, though there were no towels available despite that being advertised as a feature.

There's a coffee/hot drink station in the lobby that's open most of the day and night, very handy and I thought the coffee was good, and the teas were good also. There's not a giant selection, but certainly enough to have the bases covered for most people.

There's a small convenience kiosk near the front desk with snacks, beer, wine and even microwaveable entrees. The prices aren't what you'd find at a grocery store, more in line with a typical convenience store.

My daughter appreciated the complimentary Chupa Chups lollipops, and if you forgot your toothbrush you can get one gratis from the front desk.

Breakfast was good as well. The buffet offered 3 kinds of juice, milk in lowfat and skim options, plain oatmeal with add-ins such as raisins & pecan halves, lots of different baked goods (muffins, bagels, english muffins, etc.). They offered eggs, in a sort of pre-formed disk, but they were tasty. Sausage too, made from turkey, was good and not greasy. A make-your-own waffle station had plain and whole wheat versions of batter. We opted to take our plates up to our room, where we took advantage of the extra space in the living room area to spread out and eat in peace and quiet.

The only things that were even mildly disappointing was the free internet access, simply because it was very slow compared to what we're used to at home, and the TV was a little frustrating - there was a listing of dozens of channels in the hotel's room guide, but most of them were not available without an extra charge. If this had been indicated more clearly on the channel listing, it would have been less annoying.

Those small details aside, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice room in that area.

Just returned from a stay at this property. It is clean, bright and well appointed, The property is new and there are very few signs of wear and tear. Used my reward points with no issue -- check in and check out was very smooth, The bed is great and the fitted sheet actually fits the king size bed so you don't have to wrestle with it all night! Breakfast was fine and included waffles, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Parking is easy and there are lots of spaces. There is a small business centre to catch up on email. Overall, there are some pretty tired hotels in the Carrier Circle area -- this one feels fresh. I would not hesitate to recommend it,

If you have a reason to stay in Syracuse, choose this hotel. It is new, close to route 90, immaculately clean, a great value, and includes breakfast. Front desk personnel is very friendly, restaurants close by, and we can't say a bad word about it. Our room had a microwave and refrigerator and separate sitting room. Nice change from the traditional hotel room!

We stayed during the NYS Fair, since we couldn't get into Residence Inn. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but for basically the same price, it is not even close to Residence Inn.

Enjoyable hotel, our second visit. Brand new, clean, comfortable rooms. Quiet and comfortable. A microwave oven and refrigerator, coffee maker, free wireless internet and flat screen TV. Seperate sitting area. Clock radio accomidates our IPOD nice for music and recharging.
Very friendly front desk staff. Convenient to nearby restaurants and highways.
(Ask for suggestions - we were dining with a vegiterian and the hotel suggested several places to eat.). They had an exercise room
Good location for Turnpike, Carrier Circle and Syracyse University - 10 min drive
Only negative - Pool was small and shalow.

Stayed two nights last weeked at the Marriott property. It appears to be relatively new. Rooms were decorated in a modern style and were very clean. It was a home football game for Syracuse University as well as parent's weekend, so they jacked the room rates up a bit. While pricey, we didn't feel ripped-off. Morning breakfast was nice, but was often crowded and seating options were limited. We ended up taking some food back to our room. There really isn't much to do around the area of this hotel - Carrier Circle. A few restaurants, nothing special. Were were in town for business, so we didn't plan on seeing the sights anyway. All in all, a nice place, very clean, very quiet.
