The waiter was very slow to take our order, but it is possible they were short-staffed. Then we ordered our meal with soup only to be told they are "no longer making that soup." Okay, it would have been helpful had we been told when we were handed out menus or if the owner removed this soup from the menu. Not such a big deal, because as always, the food and soup we did order was really wonderful.
In the midst of waiting for our food a beam from the ceiling crashed to the floor only feet from where I was seated. It was frightening and startling!! The waitstaff was quick to move us to another table and then proceeded to tell the owner who came to look at what happened. He did not acknowledge us at all nor did he make any apologies. He sat down at another table and was using his phone-never even made eye contact. Any word from the owner of any kind would have been helpful and appropriate. As much as we like the food we will not be returning. How any business owner could treat customers in such a fashion is beyond our understanding.
