Description: There’s “first-class” dining “nestled deep” in East Quogue at this “culinary tour de force”, where the “adventurous” seasonal menu of “superior” French-Med cuisine shows off “fantastic variations and flavors” in discreetly “sophisticated” environs overseen by a “gracious” staff; it’s the stuff that “great memories” are made of. “We both got sick on our wedding night after eating here!”
Reviewed July 23, 2011

Went here on our wedding night, both got ill that nite, and barely made it on the plane to our honeymoon. Think it was the duck sausage. It was the only thing we shared. We were told it was highly rated but unless you want to on the bowl all night , I'd try another place.

“Top Shelf Dinner”
Reviewed June 7, 2011

We dined there for the first time on Sunday June 5th after a day of summer rental hunting. The food was superb. I ordered from the prix fixe menu, and at $30 it was marvelous. My main course was an excellent bouillabaisse, and my husband and I shared my 3 flavor sorbet, best ever. Professional and pleasant service. If we rent, we will be regulars.

Highly recommended. We had a wonderful, relaxed and delicious meal. Service is professional and no "attitude" like other restaurants in the area

“FANTASTIC - THIS CHEF IS BRILLIANT!”
Reviewed June 13, 2010

We have dined here many times. Every dish is terrific. The creative French chef, Christian Mir, is "formidable"! The service is very good and attentive. The atmosphere, a big, old country house, is so lovely. They offer a great prix fixe menu. This is one of our top three favorites! The only negative is that the portions should be larger. We love this place!

“terrible service- mediocre food-noisy- no ambience”
Reviewed November 8, 2009

purposely waited til restarant week ended-dining here was a total disappointment-service was haughty and -disorganized- they brought 2 entrees to our table which were meant for another table while later delivering our entrees to the couple sitting next to us-waiters were totally unconcerned about their errors-in fact plopped the food down and left immediately leaving the adjacent diners to pass our meals to us. the food was poor-the venison had virtually no taste a boring and unimaginative dish. The ubitquitous butternut squash ravioli with mushrooms and spinach was "slimy" and served lukewarm. No waitstaff ever checked back to ascertain whether our meal was satisfactory or to determine if we required anything else. The noise level made it almost impossible to carry on any conversation. The dining room was devoid of any decor- the flood lights from the parking lot glare through the shutters making it very uncomfortable. Having eaten in many fine restaurants all over the world never have we been in a restaurant where there were absolutely no redeeming qualities. What we had hoped would be an intimate dining experience became an unpleasant disappointment. Home cooking sure looks GREAT!
