The cottage is lovely and I felt it was prettier and better furnished than the photographs suggest. The location was better than expected, in a historic setting with all of the beaches and attractions that we knew from previous trips to Perranporth and Newquay easily accessible by car. Hollywell Bay is a lovely beach, quite dog friendly and only about a miles walk away. There is a pub, a general store, a bakery and a fish and chip shop a few doors down from the cottage, but the real find for us was the Smugglers Arms pub and restaurants just 10 minutes walk across the fields (directions in the bookcase). If you have a big dog be aware that you will probably need to lift them over the stiles to get to the pub. Parking is not always easy, but that is to be expected in cottages that were built long before the car was invented. We would happily rent this cottage again.
Cosy well equipped pet friendly cottage with prior arrangements we were able to take 3 well behaved dogs. The enclosed garden is about 15 feet from the back door so not able to open the door to allow the dogs out but garden was well kept and quite big. Two pubs within walking distance. The beaches are within walking distance the closest being 30 - 35 mins walk but well worth the walk and dog friendly. Definitely would recommend it especially if visiting in the colder months with its large inglenook fireplace.
Cosy cottage 'home from home' with great local walks and so much to see...needed another week there! Great communication from helpful owner. Highly recommend
