Description: The "Cheers" of East Hampton, unpretentious, good food, nice clientele with the occasional celebrity sighting, everyone is friendly & happy to be there, superior service and oversized glasses of wine reasonably priced. This casual pub draws a local crowd during the off-season, then expands in the summer to include the daytrippers and seasonal residents who inevitably pass by its right-on-the-road location and are drawn in by the steady (and easily visible) crowd. Armed with both patios and fireplace, there is always an appropriate way to enjoy the time of year here — and with UK-styled dishes ready to be matched by English and Irish-based beers, your appetite will also find equal engagement.

Went here for dinner on Saturday night. Our party of 7 was crammed in to a 5 person table, but we were just happy to be seated. We ordered some apps for the table, including the chicken wings. Midway through the plate of wings, we realized that we were eating RAW chicken meat. Not undercooked, but completely raw (please see photo posted to the restaurant's album). Mortified, we asked to see the manager and had the great pleasure of speaking to Ziggy - apparently the restaurant's owner.

Ziggy's first response was to offer our table shots of tequila "to kill the germs" we had ingested. When we told him we weren't interested in a round of shots, that we were upset about having just eaten raw chicken in his establishment, he asked us what we wanted from him ("It seems like you want something from me, and that's ok.") Still no apology or offer to try to make things right on his part. We told him his handling of this situation was unacceptable, at which point he stormed away from the table telling us he "wasn't going to deal with us."

Ziggy returned several moments later, offering to comp our appetizers. What a joke. We told him that we would not be staying for dinner, and again let him know how offended we were by the way he handled the situation. He again stormed away, this time telling us to "go f*** ourselves." You cannot make this stuff up.

It goes without saying that I will never be going back to Nichol's, which obviously is of no concern to Ziggy, but I want to make sure everyone is aware that his restaurant clearly has questionable health standards and absolutely appalling customer service. It's mindboggling that someone in the food service industry could treat customers so badly, especially after serving them uncooked food. Please do yourselves a favor, and go elsewhere!!

These people were a problem from the get go. We were extremely busy and I'm sorry they did not have a good time and in my opinion they had no intention of enjoying themselves or the wouldn't spend time with some individuals in that party. Although we work very hard tonplease the public you just can't please everybody. I sent the waitress over to comp everything due to the fact that I was dealing with irrational people and was hoping they would be content and stop yelling in the middle of the dining room. We serve a couple of thousand people a week and this group was the exception on so many levels but manners wasn't one. Good riddance to this bunch! And once again G.F.U.

OK for a quick burger and beer, nothing more.

This restaurant could use a little sprucing up. I'm always astonished by the number of cars in the parking lot, maybe they're first timers. I can't imagine wanting to return here.

Large portions, but quality is just o.k. and prices are a little steep for the quality of the food. Good, friendly service.

Had a great dinner here this evening.

We were a large party of 7 and our reservation was honored right on time.

The servers were great and the meal quickly started with fresh out of the oven bread sticks ! Wow.....so good.

Bartender made a great Margarita and with the drink on special (2 for 1) it tasted even better !

Oysters.....fresh, big and plump.....wonderful zucchini chips and wings.

All the entrees were great including the pasta dish.....

Desserts were also good with the brownie sundae being our favorite.

Go and enjoy this local gem.
