This is a no frills, very popular seafood restaurant. Simple = plastic utensils which is a bit tacky given the pricing is mid to high priced. The quality was excellent and the service good. Serving a $15 martini in a plastic cup? Well maybe not so good. I think they could afford silverware and glassware here and then the place would have been great.

waitress service but the frills stop there, used to be a soft serve ice cream place and still has that vibe but the seafood is fresh , mainly local and delicious. Very affordable

My husband and I were looking for a restaurant for lunch and stopped at Bostwick’s! The baked clams were huge and tasty although the clams were a little tough! My husband had the special swordfish sandwich which he enjoyed. I had the cold lobster roll which was huge! We took home a quart of New England clam chowder which we enjoyed for a light dinner! It has a nice out door seating area probably better on a warmer day.

It was a busy Thursday night at Bostwick's Chowder House, but the wait for a table not too long. When I find Manhattan Clam Chowder on the menu, I can't resist! This Chowder didn't disappoint. A tasty fish sandwich and the Chowder made a perfect meal.

The service here is top-notch, IF you can snag a table. Go early or late, and you can. They have the best lobster roll on the East End, and their Salad Caprese is the best that I have had -- juicy, local, red-ripe tomatoes (in season), fresh mozzarella (requires a tad bit of salt, just as it all does off the island of its origin), fresh basil and a delightful balsamic glaze. Kids love their fries. I kept back one star because the wine is horrible.
