Longhouse reserve is a series of beautiful gardens, made in a unique style integrating sculptures and exhibits. It looks nothing like your typical English garden. It's hard to describe, but it feels like, although the gardens are manmade, that the plants are growing freeform. It doesn't feel contrived.
We drove 1h30 to get there after 3 days in Manhattan and this was definitely the highlight of our trip.
The staff were delightful and actually made sure we hit some other touristic spots.
