The house and property are beautiful; this site should not be missed. Gentle sloping grounds, ponds, flowers, trees -- perfect place to wander and spend the afternoon.

“Wonderful Place”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We have been there four or five times over the past six years. Wonderful landscaping, trees and gardens form a great setting for the sculptures that are throughout the property. There are always enough new works and exhibits to make it interesting year after year. Never seems crowded. Very sophisticated and understated but also playful in some of the selections that bring out smiles. Great place to bring a book and sit and read in the gardens. Staff and volunteers on site very courteous and helpful.

“Magnificent gardens and great display of Planters”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

This Jack Lenor Larsen garden is truly magnificent. There was a special exhibit of planters by about 25 gardeners which was on view and judged the previous weekend. So sophisticated and very creative. The sculptures on the property were also wonderful. However, the gardens are the "real deal" A grove of Cryptomeria trees welcomes you as you enter. Then there are rooms and rooms of beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees. A must if you are interested in horticulture.

“Hidden Gem of the Hamptons”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

This place is a MUST-SEE if you are in East Hampton on a sunny day. The gardens are simply breathtaking, especially if you visit in the spring when the daffodils and cherries are in bloom. The art is superb, with sculptures scattered throughout the gardens, some by Yoko Ono and Chihuly, along with an exhibit of early native American art in the house.

Entrance fee is $10 and worth every penny. Plan to spend some time talking through a dunes garden, sitting on the benches near the pond, and strolling through beautifully wooded trails.
