“new chef makes all the difference”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2011

Liked Race Lane a lot last year (it's inaugural season), but as much for the
space, the outdoor bar, and the warm welcome of the host, Jay.

This year add great food to the mix! There are some great salads and apps. A hefty pork chop that's the best of many I've had in the Hamptons. Some of the best scallops around (in a portion that's unusually ample), a wonderful brussels sprout prep as a side and a super chocolate chip bread pudding for dessert.

And the bartender knows how to pour!

So far Race Lane hasn't been discovered by the East Hampton hoards so it's a bit easier to score a rez, but that, unfortunately, won't last!

“So disappointed!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2011

Waitress forgot my app., brought it out with my main dish, forgot the sides, brouht it out when we were done, and made a mistake on the bill that had to be corrected by the manager.
I would give this place a second chance if the food was promising, but it wasn't.

“Ambience and Food Make for a great combination”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2011

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Race Lane. Food was fantastic. Each dish was distinctive. Service was good. Wine list was great - not only great wines but also many at reasonable prices.

We sat outside, which makes for a very nice atmosphere.

Already planning my next visit back.

“Fine dining in E. H. village, top notch service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2011

I enjoy the open feel of this dining room and appreciate the experienced waiters, well trained bus boys and friendly host staff. Very good dishes, both beef and seafood. ( check their on line menu ) , Ample bar with outdoor drinking and dining in warm weather. Be warned tho : they have a very cramped parking lot, and even tho they offer valet, I prefer to park on the street to avoid any nicks or scratches on the vehicle. Will definitely go back, I hope they can maintain their high level of service and friendliness, the lack of attitude among the staff is refreshing -- lets hope it lasts !

“Welcome addition in East Hampton”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2011

We ate dinner at Race Lane this past weekend. The ambiance, food and it's presentation in addition to the friendly service made for a most enjoyable experience. While the Hamptons season has not officially started it will be interesting to see if the high level can be maintained when the crowds start coming. Restaurants in the area seem to change from season to season....we hope Race Lane stays around since we will definitely go back.
